  1. Come on Scotland :scotland: They are playing a hard new game... like wise France, but after a Shakey start, and last couple of minutes.... But here's hoping.
  2. beat France and do England a favour? :002: Mind they have their' pride and are starting to put together a good pack. Besides I don't think France can get enough points for even if the beat Scotland and England
  3. I have some nuisance pairs Showman, which like to nest on the floor etc. They build pretty big ... via raiding nests for the tobacco stalks.
  4. Strawberry or Ash.
  5. Saw a fellow training last week.
  6. I think Showman yo can have a far bigger problem in them raiding other nests for the material.
  7. It's good. Regards Printers not so good. H.p. Printers have a Help line and it does every thing for you so that's good... Brother don't for older versions! My Brother 123 Laser had the Geek out and set it up THREE TIMES... for as soon as it up dates (Does it automatically) it went Kapult! Bought a new one. A brother laser again lol. Think maybe, just maybe tha lase are harder, but see a lot of replies on help lines getting flumaust. P.s. if you change make sure you have written down ALL and Every password... none will be saved. I lost a few like Hotmail etc. and they won't help unless you know many addies that you have used recently. Saving them is good... makes you lazy I guess and as soon as you forget ... they are forgotten lol.
  8. Being silly again! :002:
  9. Quite an intriguing game. Exciting in parts. Scotland tended to have the rub of the green and the decisions, but overall deserved to win and were the better side on the day. Could be that they will finish above Ireland and Italy yet!? Gosh is it really 26 years since they won the grand slam? Sad to say, I believe that they haven't been able to replace the likes of Hastings and Patterson ...
  10. Any way Wales should beat France. The French always, but always have a 'Match Winner' or two. Seen signs of it again against Ireland ... But I think the brutal and passionate style of the Welsh will be too much. They have the whole nation out on a limb for them ... It is a passionate game for them of hope ... they are much good at any other team game lol so make the most of it.
  11. Aye Ditto that Walter... and get back to 'Bonney Scotland' eh lol
  12. I never heard a coo about it either.
  13. Mind I hope that Scotland win. Thing is, will it shed light on their improvement after the past two showing and England's heavy defeat of Italy. Was it the case that Italy was a greatly improved side? Well drilled and organised? Think, personally, Wales take all the beating of England, and will be all out to stop them winning the Grand Slam and triple crown. I see that that Jones chappie is stating that English have no world class players, and is looking forward to mould and make them so in 4 years. Well any nonskull knows that is the long term adjective, and yes that is obvious, but in the mean time his job is surely to be winning. Nothing better for the confidence. And yes has to bring in the new lads carefully and chosen times as he envisages. But the fact is, be that as it may, that the whole of Rugby improves every year. Players have to be up for it now and ready to listen, improve and earn their place. Old pals acts and school ties SHOULD be a thing of the past. Ask Michael Johnson who was disastrously stabbed in the back by old big headed egoistical chums.
  14. Scotland, the Dark Blues, bid to avoid losing 10 straight RBS 6 Nations matches when they face Italy in Rome on Saturday. Is this to, or could it be, to avoid the wooden spoon?
  15. A great book, written over several years and loft visits was produced and publish in Belgium in 2007. It did a survey for want of a better word, of national and excellent performances of top pigeons. Weight, sizes, lengths, shapes etc. etc. Vents, tails etc. etc It finished via saying that top pigeons come in all shapes. weight and sizes and that there certainly wasn't a common denominator. I believe that Ponderosa stud have copies. Indeed it was via them that I learned of it when visiting Canada.
  16. Elizabeth McColgan and Yvonne Murray WAS also a great at same time... more the 3000 metres though. Great pair also Ian Stewart and Ian MaCafferty Lachie Stewart https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1XsjPsN6IQ&ebc=ANyPxKoN1auN4-ulvE12n8XWZXw-HFi3LuryXuvptHePAXDj8fjbprSkxmp4S-1ORwyG0qR2XQT53JNRMr2Tkb6mN4vMu6wBPw Then of course peter Stewart brother Peter and Sister Mary were English internationals of fame. A 20 year old Ian Stewart controlling the race to become European 5000m Champion in 1969. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVtoK0XVw-s Just a tip of some Scottish greats. Heart warm and soul rendering achievements .... And they sing a load of myths and untruths about a Flower - which is a weed actually. Should be proud and stuck to a sensible and realistic 'Bonny Scotland'. Mind does the English 'Cockles a world of good and other nations a smirk in wonderment lol.
  17. Ken Buchanan led the tributes to Walter McGowan after his fellow Scottish ring legend died aged 73 following a short ... WHAT GREATS THESE WERE!!! Scotland produced many great 'Wee' boxers. Full of skill and courage. These two are my all time greats. Top of the list. Who are unfortunate to not have seen, remember their Fights against Salvatore Burruni winning the World Title - and Robert Duran respectfully.!!! Walters giving weight to Alan Rudkin. Joe Gans - Walter's father a great FIGHTER as to boxer in days of another aspect. When fighting for the 'Steak' to feed the family as important as the small amount of cash. Another scot who brought tears to my eyes last Saturday. Lauren Muir. What a brave and wonderful fighter that girl is. Full of all the courageous things we see mainly only from the greats. Last season how she came back from a disastrous 2014 season to prove her merit. Storming away from a class field in the 3000 metres. Breaking the Scottish 800 metres indoor record. The medal in world games. Along with Elizabeth McColgan and her mucker in the 1991 world championships winning from a world class field by 21 seconds after winning a silver in the 1988 olympics ... after just having a baby.
  18. So sad. His father, Joe Gans, was also a great 'Fighter' in days of a very different aspect when coining the phrase 'Bring Home the Bacon. in the so - called sport. This was the time when most were fighting for the Steak for the family and poor pay. However Walter was, is one of my all time favourites, along with another Mega star and great skilful boxer Hen Buchanon. Ok one of many great . Who can forget him giving weight and fight Alan Rudkin?

    Rspca

Remember it well Ian from your - I believe - post at the time. Money and greed rule. No profit in Peace! No profit in curing people! and NO PROFIT in protecting animals and birds ... Their' cause is best left to see cruelty as folks WILL dip into their' pockets! MONEY! You can't get a RSPCA man out to see any thing that they should be doing FACT! BUT a case of cruelty on the telly and their tins are rattling none stop down the town centre!
  20. Best and most successful club here about don't have prize money. Just fees to run the club. Likewise a few more. We have a couple or more in another of my clubs that are prize money mad... Most don't like them as it appears that as they are the best flyers it is purely for their own ends and nothing to do with helping the club. The other one I'm in have a separate race. They nominate their bird for a pound or so and winner takes all. Of course only those interested go in for it, and they don't have to win, or even excel in the race to win that pot! I no longer support breeder buyers, or do Fund - raisers as I feel - personally - that ALL the raised should go to club funds that BENEFIT all and every one in the club. Cheaper subs and fees. Subsidise racing and even training. One club is actually raising money for the very purpose of subsidising by funds raised our training. The feeling here is those that partake and send birds as such benefit. Cost us £60 a training toss. We pay x money and any lee way is made up out of the Fund - raised for that purpose. No prize money. We also pay ALL members RPRA and membership fees.
  21. Great to see mate. Best of luck.
  22. Grand slam Triple crown? Only the French can compete .... Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Italy were out first week.
  23. Well firstly, let me say how good Scotland were. OK obviously all round not quite good enough. Just needed that all important run of the ball. Certainly the best performance from them for a few seasons. 3 or 4 I feel. As for Ireland I went with me heart, but again the French are beginning to put it together I feel. As I said they always seem to be able to have a match winning performer some how.

    Mole Soil

Why do sea - gulls etc. follow the plough? Mind most if the land is dry. Bird brain eh! Makes one wonder just who processes as such. Of course in dry weather Worms are no where near the top. Besides that the amount of sea gulls / birds covering the ground would mean that they would have to share 1 between 20 birds lol Soil salinity is the salt content in the soil; the process of increasing the salt content is known as salinization.[1] Salts occur naturally within soils and water. Salination can be caused by natural processes such as mineral weathering or by the gradual withdrawal of an ocean. It can also come about through artificial processes such as irrigation Salinity from irrigation can occur over time wherever irrigation occurs, since almost all water (even natural rainfall) contains some dissolved salts.[2] When the plants use the water, the salts are left behind in the soil and eventually begin to accumulate. Since soil salinity makes it more difficult for plants to absorb soil moisture, these salts must be leached out of the plant root zone by applying additional water. This water in excess of plant needs is called the leaching fraction. Salination from irrigation water is also greatly increased by poor drainage and use of saline water for irrigating agricultural crops. Hence why Mole hills are thrived upon. :emoticon-0137-clapping: One only has to see the results when turning over the earth in a chicken run ... No worms etc. But they go mad for the salt, the minerals etc. Struth!
  25. One good thin regards the wicker basket .... Is that left in for 2 -3 days it certainly brings on form and condition.
