  1. Sent my timer in the Gold Cup as he is looking magnificent.
  2. Scottym7 Firstly none of my group of friends knew about a change in dates untill Martin posted it which left me and others who normally participate in the Combine out on a limb. Secondly I have never mentioned your name as I dont even know who you are so the comment you heard regarding changing Feds is nothing more than misinformation. However for all that wish to know I was accepted yesterday as an Individual Member into Almond Valley Federation so perhaps somebody you were talking to has had their wires crossed. Peter Mackintosh
  3. Wish Scotland would play rubbish ! Personally I thought the game was intrigueing but perhaps many would not understand the tactics employed by both sides.
  4. Yes. The Midland Fed card states 19/7/14 SCC 500 mile race. If you look back the forum "Aye Ready" in the North West gave the information out which surprised us all.
  5. I have been waiting to see how the race panned out after bringing it forward two weeks with 48 hours notice !!.
  6. Personaly I dont put youngsters in a basket till they are on their second flight.
  7. Marvellous performance Dave and what a bar you have set for us with aspirations.
  8. With my first choice lifting Bronze I hope the Germans do a Falklands on them.
  9. Airdrie bird Sec Ian Rankin 01236 766101
  10. I sincerely hope you guys have better returns from Charnock Richards than we had with old birds as I dropped 15 from 19 sent and it was a disaster for all the club members.
  11. Its absolutely shocking in this day and age especially when clubs have been awarded Lottery Grants to refuse any application for membership unless they have a criminal record or a person classed as undesirable.. In the very near future some fancier will approach the Grant Committee complaining they are being victimised by not having a perfectly reasonable application for membership to a club refused and being asked to pay the grant back due to a fraudulent application. The stipulation for a lottery Grant or Goverment Grant emphasises that their will be no discrimination off any description.. Club members should be made aware of the consequences of their actions before sticking their hands up. I personally resigned from a club due to them committing fraud which I wanted no part off.
  12. Started training 48 birds now have 10.. 6 damaged with hawk racing with Midland Fed..I will never be subjecting my birds to the West route ever again and would rather pack it in if that was the only alternatative.
  13. Done a bit of fencing years ago and all barbed wire must be fixed to the inside of your property. I dont know if their are regulation's in place now although I would assume as its seen and within your property as a deterant no intruder has a leg to stand on in a court of law. It is within your rights to protect your property by all reasonable means.
  14. Said to the wife " There's a guy on here thinks I am a FUNGI " He obviously does not know you then "FUN GUY" !! NOT ".
  15. Well thats my plans up in the air as birds were set down for the 19th and their is nothing available for this week. How many more will be in the same boat as you cannot be serious in changing races by two weeks when some guys will be going for Fed averages etc. My goodness we cannot even go a day earlier when weather dictates multi day holdovers. Do I and others seriously look like mushrooms ? Being kept in the dark and fed on sh*t.
  16. Is the Scottish Central Combine 500+ Mls Clermont race still on for the 19th July ?.
  17. Tyson aka Peter on posts #2 & #90 said it all and reading between the lines would have held on. Perhaps we should be getting him back on board.
  18. Really pleased for you John as I am sure you will be.
  19. Sorry but I do not believe that rubbish is worthy of a reply. End off.
  20. Dont know about hash Novo but I was on cloud nine at 16.42 yesterday
  21. Could have been the same at Buckingham but the drivers decided to go for a kip LOL
  22. No it wisnae I never got a time in LOL
  23. Well I am shocked at your post and have to wonder where it came from ?. I suggest you go back to Page 2 Post 22 from the Convoyer who you say was willing to liberate the day he arrived at Alencon "Thursday" yet was not willing to liberate from Buckingham "Friday" when the arrival times were the same. This scenario reminds me of past performances by truckers who had to liberate on Sundays as the truck was required for contract work on the Monday. We should remember they are business men first and foremost and at all times business before pleasure.
  24. Congratulations to all that clocked in from Alencon and commiiserations to all those who are without their birds after what can only be described as one of the worst decisions ever to liberate our birds into what every fancier who had birds away knew was going to be horrendous weather conditions facing them. Human mistakes can at times be forgiven however I am positive on receiving word that a liberation had taken place we knew within our hearts that this was not going to be a competitive race but a race of luck which in all probability 90% of the members would not be favoured with. I was one of the lucky ones but my heart goes out to those who were deserted when they had hope and have lost their favourites from their loft. Years and time wasted for a decision that should have been obvious.
  25. Any idea what time for Boness clocks ?.
