A noticed that yis were aw needin tae go oan a diet up there onyway. By the way it has nothing to do with you whaur ma Wi Fi signal comes frae nor my Sky connection.
  4. You must have had a bad dream last night John. In fact yi's can all dream oan.
  5. Around 1870 a poor man named Potti from Waregem [belgium] bought a pair of pigeons whose descendants gave incomparably good results. The "Potti" breed formed the basis of many top fancers such as Desmet, Blondeel, Van De Velde, Coppens, Stichelbaut and Petrus De Waele. Between 1920 and 1940 these were known as very successful breeders whose pigeons are the ancestors of breeds which are well known to-day... I believe it would be fair to say that all the strains originated from "Potti".
  6. The wife says yiv hud yer chips ppprrraaappp.
  7. You missed oot the S & U ya dummy LOL It should read 5 spuds :emoticon-0136-giggle:
  8. A good fancier will get results with any pigeon. I personally dont believe in strains.
  9. I knew this was coming since the 80s when I worked in the Middle East working with the arab of both factions ie. Sunni and Sheite. Unfortunately they hate the Jewish people then the Americans and finally Christians. It was told to me on more than one occasion that they would terrorise Christian countries by bomb and bullet until those countries declared war on an Arab country then they would call JIHAD. Their IS only one solution. Oh aye nane of my family will ever support the SNP again.
  10. We have to start somewhere Ally and lets hope we can hit them that hard leaving no safe haven for them.

  15. Cheers Wattie, See you the morra. Wonder if Chubbie sorry Tiger will be celebrating with the pies and tea as he won the Almond Valley most helpful person Fed Trophy. Really deserved it.. :emoticon-0136-giggle:
  16. Purchased Hawkeye last year and every racer has a pedigree in a folder with all races entered on the back. It certainly beats having yearly books to look through when wanting to know what and where its been and done. Not cheap but reputed to be best.
  17. Whit classes this week ??
  18. Rooster Cockburn on here told me thats all he gives them and he can fair knock them in, in all races.
  19. Not wishing to be classed as an old fogey but one has to think in terms of days gone past when attempting to define certain definations of old words. My extremely old Oxford Dictionary defines BoltHole as "make violent dash" and "open for safety". If we picture cloth capped fancier wanting to shorten his vocabulary he takes the first two letters BO and the last two letters LE gives us BOLE which is always OPEN.
  20. Colin, The pub is still open
  21. Steve, When you see somebody getting a write up and half of it containes results I just stop reading when the results start. I know he has results thats why they get a write up. I like to know WHY not the conclusion.
  22. Aye you are right there John BUT why did they refuse to load my ETS rings for me and why stop me from having my birds race marked for Fed racing when members were willing to do that for me. Back stabbers who were nice to your face but did not have the cajones to tell you and had others appologising to me for their actions.
  23. R.P. & B.H.W and have done for over 50 years. It is a shame their are not more Scottish scribes but we dont like to blow our own trumpet and those in the past were ridiculed in private and gave up. I also believe it was a case of "A Write Up" will cost you a pair of youngsters scenario whether it was true or not. I have to admit I enjoy reading other fanciers feeding and management methods but dont read their results as I find it boring likewise all the club results on here. I suppose in summing up its just habit.
  24. Aye thats true Tiger, They keep changing the boundaries.
  25. Naw Stevie, I just happened to mention at a gathering the other night that Sartilly was not in this year's book and was telt ah wis talkin rubbish !!. SO it all seems tae be quiet from John,Jim,Davy,Alf,?,?,Wattie,Jim,?,? who all said it was. AYE it's no often I'm right but I'm right again :emoticon-0136-giggle:
