Having had Comprehensive insurance for 50 years with different Companies always looking for something cheaper I never had any trouble with being covered to my satisfaction until I took out RAC insurance online for the very first time. 2 years past I insured my vehicle for the first time with RAC and printing off the page allowing me to Road Tax the car. Their was a follow up which said My documents would be sent PDF which I did not have a clue about so disregarded it and a week or two later changed my server and "e" mail address. It was 11 months later when an incident occurred that I found by not reading because I never obtained the Documents that my Insurance did not cover me to drive any other vehicle and worse that I was limited to 5,000 miles. I wont go any further but please check the small print to ascertain your cover...My Solicitor informed me that 95% of those driving without insurance are convicted because of this.

Would never dream of attempting to educate a Welshman after working with a few in the past LOL.

Think after reading the article in the R.P page 8, H.D.& A Kallmeyer. You are only wasting your money unless you have exceptional young bird racers.

Definately will do.

I do not wish to tell any fancier that preparation prior to breeding should be a priority however at this time of year my birds are out weather permitting and flying 1-2 hours daily and enjoying the sky to themselves although should one of the neighbouring lofts do the same then its nice to see them flying to-gether. As I dont pair till the full moon in March which is the 23rd this year, come the middle of February I will remove all the birds from the first section, scrape the floor "which is done daily anyway" then remove all the plastic V perches and soak them in Vircon S. Hoover all the dust from walls and all surfaces. I will then gas burn every inch of the section followed by spraying everything including the roof with Vircon S and replace V perches . the following day when dry, I will vaccinate and one spot all that goes back into the section and move onto the next. Perhaps by carrying out this procedure over the years has helped in avoiding YBS.

Best of luck to all who pair and breed youngsters at this time of the year and come September when young bird racing is completed I will ask how many you early breeders have left compared to those who pair and breed March-April.

As a family who have experienced the loss of a son about the same age we know what Kenny and Fiona will be going through. Condolences will never cover the heartache in losing Theo and my families thoughts are with yours. Peter & Mary Mackintosh.

Perhaps the proposal to phone your bird in is a percussion for introducing security measures as is the norm in National Races down South and next year they will introduce the wing stamp with security number bringing the Security a step in line with the latter where you have to phone in the wing stamp number or disqualification is incurred. The fanciers in England dont have an issue with it and actually welcome it so why dont we.

I that was the case Rolly you could cram 36 birds into the 6x4x6ft
-
Their was a formula for the amount of space a single pigeon requires and if memory serves me correctly it is 1 cubic yard per bird. Should that be the case a 6x4x6ft high should allow you 5 birds in comfort.

Well weighing up the pro's and con's with a tape measure the truth of the matter is Wee Mary say's, NAW !! as their would be no room for her Washing burly, Garden furniture, Fish pond, Flower bed complete with 600 Daffs, Agapanthas, Begonias and Greenhouse after me putting up 3 lofts and tool shed. Landlord says put a stair lift in but did'nt say who would pay for it. Ony body have a spare yin tae gae awaw fur free tae a fancier ? in need.. :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Dougie Bald for me is without doubt the best sprint fancier in Scotland as his results are phenomemal.

Mock all you like as it does not bother me in the least ! However perhaps it may have persuaded squirrels from the vicinity of the loft as well as I was inundated with the pests in Wales.

Been here 5 years and never had an attack to my knowledge. I cannot speak for others but I have spoken to others who say they are a waste of money but dont have or tried them themselves. Personally I could not care less what others say as long as it suits me. I take it down over the winter period 4 months and repaint the red on the eyes with enamel paint.

Nystatin After Antibiotic Treatments (Orni/canker).
peter pandy replied to Water Boy's topic in Notice Board
AS one who partakes in the conversion of grape to wine I believe one should ascertain the benefits of killing yeast by E202. It certainly kills yeast but I would endeavour to understand where Yeast and their are many different types can be used in the non antibiotic discussion where E202 which stops fermentation can be applied to this situation BUT I am sure someone will clarify this post. ???. -
