Hi Lewis their are no injuries that I can find nor any vermin, He is quite well down in the body and 2 end flights are pretty frayed but he has picked up since this morning, He is a grizzle from John Harwood so have high hopes for him. Fingers crossed.

On 1st Sept last year I had 9 y/b at 170 mls Fed Open with 8 returning within 20 minutes. My last one returned this morning with 4 tail feathers missing. The last time I had a bird lying out all winter was 1980 and hope history will repeat itself as that bird 2 weeks later was 1st club 2nd Fed 70 miles then sent to Cheltenham 300 miles and won 1st club 3rd Fed. As a 2 year old she scored from Nantes. For Roosters info she was a G/Daughter of Red Rock.

Walter, Here is more food for thought !. I and friends went to the Bonnybridge prize presentation followed by discussion with a panel consisting John Harwood and John Bosworth last year. One of the questions asked and answered by the panel was vaccination. John Bosworth gave his reply that set tongues wagging. I Vaccinate twice yearly.. Once in January before pairing and ONCE A COUPLE OF WEEKS BEFORE THE FIRST NATIONAL TO ENSURE MY CANDIDATES DO NOT CONTRACT ANYTHING IN THE BASKET.. As any National man will tell you all the prepatory work has been done a couple of weeks prior to the event where upon vaccination can be carried out with 2 weeks isolation not being a problem. I know rest and contemplation works wonders. DONT YOU !!.

So I am a liar for posting the fact I have never had YBS but have had other diseases and this remark makes me a liar so I will clarify. I purchased years ago all the principal pigeons belonging to the late A.P. Taylor Falkirk apart from his SCC winner and put them in my race loft along with the rest of my team as it was my intention to break and race them. Within 6 weeks all had contracted some disease or another and died, Enquiries were made and I found Mr Tayler had been feeding his birds Aureomycin for years and his birds had no immune system. A couple of years later I went to a clearance sale for a Mr & Mrs Donaldson down Lockerbie-Gretna way Purchasing a Grizzle hen named "Titch" which had a couple of national diplomas from Nantes and 5 others, All were dead within a month with what my vet diagnosed as Dyptheria coupled with no immune system none of my own birds were affected. I sincerely hope this answers your opinion of me being a liar.

They say their is a long tunnel in life with a shining beacon at the end of it ! Some of us are at the start of it, some at the middle and some nearing the end. Life and knowledge to me is like that. Returning to walter's theory, he has managed to bring that piece of knowledge closer to the end of my tunnel as he really has hit the nail on the head. I have studied my diaries for the last couple of years and conclude my o/b losses and loss of form have coincided with transferring weaned vaccinated y/b from the stock loft to the main racing loft. Well I must be a SCEPTIC because if I cannot see it, Feel It, Smell it or hear it then I dont believe it exists. I check my Barometer every day and have done for many years and never ever has it been stuck on the same reading as it has for the past fortnight, 1020 should have us bathed in sunshine not freezing our b*ll***s off. I worked for 50 years and have never been unemployed or claimed for anything other than the Family Allowance. I started a private pension fund in 1980 and Brown destroyed it when he became Chancellor. When I retired I never knew what I was entitled to and lived on my savings for 6 months until I was informed by a guy who had never worked for many years told me to go to Citizens Advice Bureau which I did and could not believe what I am entitled to. Rent a house,Goverment pays the rent. Council tax, pay 20%. Entitled to Pension Credit, gives you a reasonable standard of living and as for the bedroom tax I have 2 bedrooms one of which is a Dining room and it reduced my Housing allowance by £52 a month. I wish I could have claimed Disability like some I see going down the pub every day and the bookies for a bet as it is worth £150 a week. So please dont come on hear and tell me I am hard done to by the Tories and its a pity the 900,000 who have been claming disability but refused to appear before a tribunel for assesment "Labour Voters" are not being prosecuted.

Had the same problem last week. Switched off for 24 hrs and it rectified the problem itself.
