I use a torch to look through the egg - when they are about 5 days old you can see the veins forming if the eggs are full Eggs that aren't full can be seen through (I use a darkened room) If you are unsure ask someone local to look

Grizzlecock is 'moving between racepoints', the UNC do not part liberate then drive to another racepoint The UNC has up to 14 transporters - and some of the races are 6 libs, some are only 2 and others - combine races - just the one lib When there are 6 libs it takes 1 and a half hours to 2 hours to liberate the birds (15 minute intervals or twenty minute intervals) some of these libs have as many as three transporters - I am in Group 6 - there are 5 federations in Group 6 - East Cleveland, North Yorkshire, Hartlepool, South East Durham and Middlesbrough and district - there could be 12000 - 15000 birds just in our Group in the early races, particularly with young birds

Question was one transporter - with libs at different race points from one transporter - presumably the same day! UNC do not do this

Club winner is also in at 13.26 - so I am 2nd or 3rd in the club - wind turning South West further north so there's a chance the birds will get faster!!

I've clocked! I don't know about anybody else - ours are not in the best of form - but who knows - in at 13.26 approx 1350ypm - 46mph (272 - 273 miles)

I have "son"! But expect others to be faster!

When the time is right and I hear of early birds I will post times and approximate velocities
