I was disappointed, it was mainly old footage for the racing pigeons and too much negativity and I couldn't believe that in the rolling credits at the end they couldn't spell Association (they had put an 's' before the c )

I don't have any that have flown 500 miles, 6 or so that have flown 430. I haven't sent to a 500+ mile race for several years' but may send one this year. I've been saying that about the same hen for 3 years atleast - but she ends up staying at home for one reason or another. She will go this year I am determined!

You can buy Kefir grains on Amazon (probably eBay as well) to ferment yourself. Can't use it myself and I use pre and probioics on my birds

Is that GB and SHU? Or just GB?

On the AA website it says if keys are in the ignition even if vehicle is stationery. It also states even if using a handsfree set you can still be prosecuted if it is believed you are not in full control of the vehicle

I have been changing car insurance companies every year for the last 5 years as the renewal has always been excessive. I was pleasantly surprised this year the renewal had only gone up £12 on last years, so haven't bothered "shopping around". Do other members always shop around or just stick to the same insurance - online or use a broker? Fully comp insurance with protected no claims - renewal was £156 Could I do better?

Hyperdrug Auto Injector For Pmv Vaccines - Help Required
REDCHEQHEN replied to REDCHEQHEN's topic in Notice Board
Somebody has had a look at the one our club was given and reckons there is a valve missing. Apart from IB's success, I have only heard negative comments about the hyperdrug vaccine gun Maybe the gun Rebus talks about is more successful -
Hyperdrug Auto Injector For Pmv Vaccines - Help Required
REDCHEQHEN replied to REDCHEQHEN's topic in Notice Board
Our club has two new 'vaccinators', who have done all the club members birds - the idea was that the vaccine gun would make the job a lot easier - but they managed just using the free needles that came with the vaccine. A job well done - the only club member not had their old birds vaccinated is - me -
I got an e mail from them but it was for the PMV/POX vaccine. And that is the only one of the Colombovac vaccines showing as available on their web site. Please note you have spelt it with a "u", there is another vaccine by that name that is not approved in the UK, as far as I am aware (made in Roumania)

Bird Flu Restrictions, Extension For Another Monthl
REDCHEQHEN replied to THE FIFER's topic in Notice Board
It was the length of time between libs and the weather turning suddenly, in a few races some were then heldover. Twenty minutes between libs sometimes longer waiting for breaks in the clouds, the 3 liberations were proposed, and accepted for shorter races. There were 2 cuts on the longer races so they are all now 3 cuts. Group 6, the largest group, goes on its own -
I watched somebody take photographs the other day, and he had an old wooden round ruler - a length of dowel about 2foot long would do maybe half inch thickness, and he gently put this under the pigeons neck area stroking the throat to coax the head to lift and neck to lengthen, it was very interesting to watch him get the bird into a posing position

philg50 - you would have to have them tested by a vet (usually 5 days of droppings) and have a culture done

Bird Flu Restrictions, Extension For Another Monthl

With the Up North Combine it is the secretary of that organisation There could be 50000+ birds in the early races By the way - changes have been made to the UNC liberations for this coming season. Only three liberations instead of 6 (except combine races where this only one)The clubs do of course give the driver a copy of each senders ETS sheet and a summary of birds sent and declaration with members signatures each and every week -
Bird Flu Restrictions, Extension For Another Monthl

I used the RPRA template for a show we had yesterday, naming the vet we use, he's not very local, but I did ring him to ask his permission. Then we use a race book for the show entries and I had to take names (which is normal!) Their addresses and telephone numbers (which I don't normally) as the show was only open to two federations - it wasn't an open show. Attendance was good - with 68 birds in the show pens and a further 64 nominated ring numbers - so the race will be flown for £625 in race money. It was a lot of writing though! All monies raised is prize money for the show and race, no expenses are deducted, but we take the opportunity to run a raffle and football cards to raise funds for the club at the same time. -
