  1. Just seen on news that winds reached 66mph in Loftus (10 miles down the road) was very mild this morning at 6.00am, nothing to report - everything that blew over last week is still where it fell LOL !!!

If you e-mail the NEHU nehu@nehu.co.uk and give the ring number of the bird - the NEHU secretary will give you the owners details very quickly - with the NEHU show coming up - its quicker e-mailing than phoning thank you Tracy for caring
  4. She was with Virgin and has changed to Sky - she's waiting for BT Line - but gets a free wireless router
  5. It doesn't help when you see instructions like this LOL !! http://www.ebuyer.com/product/169923 Want a massive review guide thingy? Try this. I bought two - I put the nasty Sagem back onto SkyDSL, & used 1 as an AP, the other as a client bridge for 2 Xbox 360s (2 teenage sons). Yes, both do work well, IF you do this every day! Daerns review was right, but a little sparse. Here's what I did, adapt for your setup:- Forget WAN ports! You need 2 cat5 patch leads, you use the Ethernet ports to connect stuff. Sagem web setup, turn off rubbish wlan. Advanced, Lan IP setup, the Sagem will be DHCP server, my gateway here 10.0.0.1. Set up static IP addresses, 10.0.0.2 for Tenda 1 (main AP) 10.0.0.3 for Tenda 2. Apply, reboot Disable wlan on your laptop, cat5 to Tenda 1, 192.168.0.1 Advanced, Lan settings, Lan ip set to 10.0.0.2 mask 255.0.0.0. Apply, reboot, back in on 10.0.0.2. Next - WLAN settings, Change SSID, choose Channel no., (remember it well for next Tenda setup). Next, Security, set type (ie wpa/tkip). Apply. Now DHCP, UNTICK Enable, Apply. System Tools, Reboot. Now join Sagem to Tenda 1 with cat5. Enable laptop wireless. Detect SSID of Tenda 1, do security stuff. Check ip from the 10 range (Vista & 7, Network & sharing centre, view status, Details) Should be on the internet now. Disable laptop wlan again, Cat5 laptop to Tenda 2, 192.168 etc again. Same stuff exactly, Lan ip on this is 10.0.0.3, WLAN, DIFFERENT SSID (I do Halo capital ships. Hmmm), SAME channels, SAME security, Disable DHCP. Bridging part! WLAN, WDS Settings. Set as Repeater (NOT Bridge), same Wlan encryption & key as WLAN, click Open Scan. SSID for Tenda 1 appears, select it, Apply. (reboots here). Cat5 laptop to Tenda 1 (10.0.0.2). WLan ,WDS Settings the same, select REPEATER again, SAME security, Open Scan etc. Finds SSID for Tenda 2. They are now friends. Apply, Reboot. Cat5 laptop - Tenda 2, ip address via this connection. Yayy. Check internet access. Although the setup guide is very sparse and a teensy bit Engrish, and the wizard is largely useless, I still give the product 5 stars for sheer works versus stoopid-cheap equation. Especially cheap for client bridge serving 4, considering the Xbox 360 official thing is way way more and only does one.
  6. Thanks everyone that's helped a lot!!
  7. My daughter is shortly getting Wireless internet she says she needs a gadget for grandsons Xbox360 (is this just a wireless adaptor? like so... http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=10078) And will the Xbox360 play OK on wireless? Any help/advice appreciated from you over grown boys and their toys LOL !!!!

  11. Interesting - why? I ask because of the following 2 year old cock was 3rd club 9th fed (1887 birds) 55 miles - a few weeks later was 192nd out of 24,199 birds 258 miles, then 2 weeks later he was 1st fed and section 13th combine 19,069 birds 317 miles the following year he raced half the season and was not trying so we took him off the road and he has never raced since, he is a 2005 cock

The chevita site is good for symptoms - but a vet would be better!! http://www.chevita.com/en/pigeons/symptoms/index.php As strapper says - we could all have a guess - and be incorrect, take a droppings sample from the loft to a vet - plus a few of the birds so he can do fresh swabs I think there is something wrong with your birds by the way
