  7. Have 1 missing from Folkestone, a 3 year old hen - a proper character, so hope she turns up
  8. We've had rain here today - plus rain en route so returns have been poor am 4 or 5 missing just now (out of 25) and surprisingly they are old hens (2 x 2year olds and 1 x 3 year old amongst them) I only sent hens (so wouldn't have any cocks missing anyway LOL !!) But when the birds are up altogether in tens of thousands - like they were today - and in a South East wind - the silly b*ggers have probably just carried on LOL !! My velocity was 1700ypm
  9. Didn't win (though it was close) 2nd club, 2nd fed - and also 5th club first points this old bird season- and in a combine race so very pleased as we must be in the worst position to be in in the fed on an Easterly wind
  10. I woulddn't be a happy bunny if they went that way
  11. There was only 28,000 from all organisations last year a drop of 9,000 on the previous year
  12. It is the NEHU Open from Folkestone this Saturday (weather permitting) The Up North Combine, New North Amalgamation. Durham Combine and the West Durham Amalgamation all up together - the weather is very iffy up here, but seems OK in the South, so it's anybodies guess as to whether the birds will be liberated early tomorrow - or heldover until Monday Anybody like to have a wild guess as to how many birds in total there will be. I'd guess around the 27,000 mark - I don't think there will be as many as previous years

My son lives in Huddersfield and is coming home for Easter - however he does not know how to handle a pigeon or look after one - so if ANYONE can help in anyway I would be grateful. My son can bring it back when he comes home (not that I've asked him LOL !!!)
