Henrik the sad thing about this whoever decided ta add another day in the baskets to the convoy , were definately not thinking about the welfare of our birds, and should be ashamed of themselves , all ta save a few bob your some subtitutes of men theres hundred thousand pounds + in the bank USE IT ? Iam sure 90% of fanciers want ta see less time in baskets and liberated as early as possible before the oven gets ta the roasting stage and you call yer sels sportsmen i dont think so ?

This is been one of the best national races in previous years and also good birdage always been a wednesday race less time in basket , who is the bright spark that has changed it ta tuesday , also the birdage in baskets should be changed ta 16 cocks and 18 hens as its gan ta be cooking in the baskets we the forcast , the transporter is gan we empty spaces so where is the logic in cramping them in ta crates ???

Rab if there were a north sec thats where my birds would go i was speaking ta jim donaldson about it and he said the same would send nice ta ha a clock station at peterhead i think there would be a good few gan bring it on time ta pick where you want ta send ta get them on the day of lib or have a chance to time , hope you get a geed en , i know fer a fact there will be neen up here fleen 650miles

Lenn Nobody said you were there for the good of there health but its time that the SNFC spent a couple of pounds that was collected for a new transporter on a few phones to let us armchair controllers know exactly why the birds are being held at race point after too days hold over , are we not allowed to watch weather forecasts and give there opinion of what they think , by the way I do know a we bit about the weather after 23 years pounding the sea as a North Sea tiger . Ye must be looking at different forcasts than i was as the NORTH OF FRANCE was as clear as a bell at mid day and i cant believe you saying its for the good of the birds being cooped in crates in sweltering heat for an extra 24 hrs for the sake as you say being patient if 9am is being patient holding them over at 9am the sky dosent take four hours ta clear many a storm ive been in when i was at the trawling and flat calm in a hour , no john it was so the shortest flyers can get there birds on the shift so just have the guts ta say it ???

Stuart it certainly widna ba full cloud cover at mid day but fit happens you will notice they wina wait till mid day they wid rather keep them in the baskets another 24hrs great thought put into this i am sure , still watching the forcast s in different channels all saying clear and getting better all day and channel clear OMG

Steven dont think will be clear in the morning but if it was get them in the sky 5am ? but been long enough in baskets now looks ta be good at mid day if so mid day lib then all out can only be good for all members , have you checked how many mid day libs since 1894 check your SNFC RULE BOOK LOOK FOR THE + MID DAY LIBS

Just found out that Stephen spinks has a article in the BHW that its rumours that their were hundreds of birds flying about fraserburgh, well i cant say anything regarding fraserburgh but one of my club mates alex geddes saw hundreds in fraserburgh and i posted on pigeon basics on this subject 2 hrs after they were libed that hundreds of birds were lost and didnt clear one mile from fraserburgh ,Inverallochy and cairnbulg and davie doo saw two batches about 11am over peterhead about 500 birds only 12 miles from fraserburgh why were they on the coast with east wind, i spoke to my cousin bob whyte and he said they went to mormon hill when libed which is the right route ta take , chris donoldson saw app 150 returning back to fraserburgh ? I ask mr spinks why was the birds flying back from north and south a mile from the lib site, the last i saw was a big batch going low over the house tops about 12- 30 ta one o clock . going south , but mr spinks you take it from me its not rumours and i must add these birds should never been liberated into overcast skys very poor visability thats why the birds are not back in there lofts , a mr girham the chairman for the nrcc phoned me , and i told him it was not going ta be very good ///
