  1. . Wait till y start winning Nationals before saying anything ,what have y done we yer powder puffs , I only managed last year 27th & 60th open 400 miles Buckingham in the YB National , & 92 nd & 129 th open in the Ypres Snfc National 510 miles all on the day ,didn't need any landing places for a drink & would have been 5 th section in the SNFC . Roye National about 600 miles , & 1st & 4 th in the last fed race Battle in our club app 500 miles , grow a pair and try the birds at the distance , y either want sprint inland racing which is not National events , or send yer birds ta compete and the real way ta try yer birds is against the whole convey in a fair NATIONAL OSLO <<<
  2. Well where the hell are ye getting this massive heat from in Norway , I've landed hundreds of time there and I've never seen any heat like yer mentioning , yer also saying the long journey 600 miles , ha ha ha , we have been flying our pigeons from 724 + miles every year till the fanciers in Lanarkshire and borders started keeping foreign rubbish , your birds will be hitting land long before 600 miles , if yer birds can't fly 480 miles from liberation at 4. 30 am which is written in our SNFC rule books , and the bollocks y talk about any unfit birds nowhere ta land is another fairy tail yer trying ta brain wash fanciers in sending there birds ta a real National , and a 300 mile water crossing , as if a bird is no good and has ta land there's loads of rigs boats going in different directions , but why don't take a wee bit of time and look up , what is a NATIONAL event , in every point you will see it's a great event as fair as possible , a challenge for only the best ?But Lanarkshire lad , will be saying that's BOLLOCKS as well , top man ?
  3. This is brilliant news bring on a , OSLO. National for the longest & Gold Cup races , looking forward ta real SNFC , CHAMPIONS , & a combine against the WHOLE of the U.K. Brilliant ?
  4. I didn't see it was altered that the wing stamp was changed ,I removed mine last year , was it published Tommy.
  5. . I've never understood why we are told ta wing stamp or marker rings on young birds for the whole fed race programme then when the SNFC YBN comes round and they have ta fly 400 miles , we have ta blot out and destroy the wing stamp , for the stiffest test , sometimes the youngsters just have too much and can't make it , we supposed ta be sports men and woman , try and help them when they need it most , a lot of fanciers won't bother ta report a bird but if there's a phone number they will lift the phone , but ta obscure the only means of help from them is just a bloody disgrace ?
  6. HA ha ha ha OSLO & they wid ba deing SUMMERSAULTS 💩💩💩💩
  7. No it's you that's living in co co land is 600 miles not long distance may y are flying further than that , but I can certainly yer talking rubbish
  8. . Yer right john no one in the north section complained about racing Averanches 622 mls Rennes ,661mls Nantes, 723 mls what we had ta de was use Hastings 500 MPs as a trainer , for the extreme races , don't get me wrong Hastings was a great race for our yearlings for our blue ribbon fed race, and was the race everybody liked ta get a good bird , but I can't say how many, 500 mile birds you time and send them ta 600 + miles and there none starters , but john I know there's a few in Orkney would like a bash at OSLO , and I bet y would time them on the day as once there over water there is only one thing in a fit pigeons head is its home , what they don't understand is there's too many fanciers breeding off that great sprinters , that's the demise of distance pigeons happy new year John X
  9. . Why on earth are there going ta be birds caught in the North Sea , birds are no use if liberated as early as possible 4 30 am ta 5 30 ,from Oslo 3 30 PM is giving them 11 hrs and what we get of hrs of darkness in the NORTH SEC for our doos is 5 1/2 hrs , which is giving yer doos 18 1/2 hrs ta cross app 450 miles and it was a Edinburgh fancier that reduced the hour of darkness for the north section from 6 ta 5 1/2 hrs of darkness cruifying the long distance birds ,which I always said was the worst bloody decision ever made against pigeons & fanciers in the life time of pigeon racing , when knowing that birds being let up at France at 5, 6 ,7 am etc was adding on time that birds was absolutely criminaly stopped from homing by loss of day light , And this Oslo race would even that rule up as well giving yous yer own rule for yer , birds being forced ta fly in dark but hey thats fair , as we have been forced ta accept , so anyway we know there's not going ta be a OSLO LANARKSHIRE ,LAD ,GOLD CUP WINNER ,widna like ta see yer birds flying roon & roon a rig in the NORTH SEA enjoy yer 2019 racing 🌞
  10. OMG where in hell are birds , going ta be in the North Sea at night , you are bloody joking , birds released at 4 30 am ta 5 30 am 8 hrs they will be hitting land at 1200 ypm if you have done yer homework and yer birds are fit , why on earth should they be locked out over the North Sea , do Ye think that Stuart Maskame from Peterheads bird that won the yepres race dog legged or the second bird in the north section ,these 2 birds crossed the sea in a straight line , that's what birds do when in fantastic form , and should not be sent if yer in any doubt of getting them , but hey as Ye know its a national race if Ye have a bird that can only fly for a few hrs it should not be entered thanks , enjoy yer racing whatever ?í ¼í½»
  11. Ha ha propose it I've even phoned officials , I've tried ta get a race from OSLO for years , Louis McNally , tried on my behalf ta try and get a international race from Oslo , for a Masserella memorial ,international ,and take in Scotland France , Germany , Holland , Belgium , Wales , England , Ireland , just an open race ,surly the racing needs a bloody lift ta keep all interested in long distance races , but jonesy it appears all you guys take nose bleeds every time anybody mentions , a fly over a few miles of water ?
  12. Yer Spot on mambo , if birds can't fly 300 miles across a bit of water surly can't be good enough for winning the GOLD CUP ,and the best thing of this race point , being in a prestigious club such as the SNFC which was once described as the best in Britain , and every year there was outstanding performances, , but what this race point does , is makes every fancier in SCOTLAND having an equal chance of competing at 600 + miles , if this is the great club SNFC , of long distance racing , this has got to be the very best race point for the gold cup race , if fanciers don't think there birds are good enough ta fly this race point from OSLO ,why the hell should they be competing in the greatest racing pigeon club in SCOTLAND ?
  13. . Stephen jist get some North Sea tigers , in it ta win it the OSLO CROWN , maybe the SNRPC wid ba up for it A OSLO GOLD MEDAL RACE ?
  14. Div y think y could arrange a 20 or thirty fa your area Stephen as I can get a race fa Oslo in the summer no charge for passage my grand daughter is married ta a Peterhead trawler skipper , sure that wid ba a starter , in getting a real SNFC real GOLD CUP , and surly the south sec will ba creaming themsels at the chance of competing against the cream of long distance racing , which have been none exsistance since racing began , I am sure that the Peterhead lads will grab this chance , but hey Stephen where there's a will there's a way , but Ye can depend on me I will send most of my yearlings that's fit for the job , but gee me a shout pal just select 20 or 40 doos and I will do the needful here and get this done as at 76 year old got ta de IT noo ,,
  15. Alex y widna kin she wis hurt Robert White @ Allan Geddes fa Peterhead handled her last week and she wis ready for the basket fantastic order cheers ?
  16. Lewis I know it's just a trophy , but you mention a few fanciers will win this once or twice in a life time , well Lewis there's fanciers on this site that saw this bird , that said how did this bird make it home , if you had seen the state of this hen I disagree I've only seen it once in my lifetime ,and not though I had another 50 years in the sport I would not expect another bird old or young. Come home in such a mess and win the section , as you see that photo was taken by Raymond Birnie too days after the race , I've had birds come home in very bad states too or three days after the race but that hen must have been knocked out of the sky and finish up 27 th open flying 400. Miles , I can only say I am privileged ta own such a gallant warrior , but the birds she's out of must have passed the genes on ta her the will ta get home ,cheers
  17. She's been named Allan I decided ta call her NOT A MURPHY ?😹
  18. George I've over 50 trophy S in my out house not for 2&3 &4 hundred miles every one is 5 - 6 - or 7 + miles anyone can come and see in fact most fanciers in our fed has see them this is not about a trophy I've one the section 7 times 2nd 6 times and lots of others in first 10 in section open 1st open Avranches open 622 miles 29th open clairmont 601 miles 41 st open Exeter 500 miles 55th open falaise 611miles 78th open Nantes 723 miles 98thopen Nantes 723 miles 125 th open Rennes 125th open 661 miles 129th open sartilly 617 miles 139th open sartilly 617 miles and can mention many more in 2009 I clocked 16 day birds from Hastings 500 miles 1st 4th 5th fed with more on the fed list also on the same day clocked one from Ypers 511 finishing 3 or 4th sec every year these birds put up good performances and never trained due ta ill health , Well George it said best performance yb if there is ever been a yb that has put up a better performance than this I want ta hear about it , You said you state you don't claim for thropies well the only one I can think of was the DEWARS whiskey , and the OSMANS which was for winning the SNFC BY 2 hrs , but George i don't need trophy S that's why I've mentioned the above but I was very shocked that any fancier could have missed this hen out , and by the way George I can easy write out another 20 snfc positions in the fist 200 which I think was good positions but not for claiming best performances , but will leave it at that going on 76 year old now so won't be claiming any more best performance trophy S if that was in time of war and that a bird came home in that state it would have won a Dickens medal not a mr & Mrs j Murphy and I am not on here belittle ping anyone's birds far from it as I have helped more fanciers get started than most and never charge a penny thanks George hope I haven't bored you ,have a good 2019 racing
  19. Job handling the phone ins
  20. How much of a convoy Lewis would y expect ? Just as well put them ta Rome win the National in a couple of weeks ?
  21. I would not have entered a bird for a fed race 157 miles 13 th sec 15 th open fed Jamie I just use the fed for training not for best performance put ma wee hen away next day we crutches and would have achieved that if that is the supreme efforts of young birds time was giving up as if yer claiming that a 157 ml Lanarkshire fed race is more important than the SNFC extreme distances 400ml on the shift 1t club 1st fed 1st section 27th open SNFC thanks Jamie for that info pal .
  22. Yes said must be in for 30th October Stephen this bird was knocked out of the sky , Colin McRae Robert White Allan Geddes from Peterhead said the same that bird was well out in front but see the wound in picture I've been in pigeons for 50 years and hand on heart that is one bloody game bird not just ta get home but win the sec and 27 th open God only knows what she would have achieved
