Ronnie yer right yev see them fa tescos in the broch car park the amount that goes south in the morning ta the parks is thousands far there comming fa out the broch its fearsome
-
Ronnie i am not sure what the laws is but i thought at the time the awful they were getting down south that trial seemed ta have been a success in getting them easily enough ta sort the problem out they were drunk as skunks and i cant rember why it was halted but i think it was pressure from the public , but ronnie if there were no streeters the hawks would soon decline if ,all fanciers kept there birds in over the close season a lot would die off , but ronnie the mess they make it should be top of councils agenda for health and just wonder where these viruses come from ?

I know the lap wing in our area is almost extinct and very few sky larks ? These were in an abundance hundreds in a few miles area i used ta walk the dog on the inverallochy areo drome and the nests were every where now if you see a lapwing you take notice and same as sky larks dont here a cheap from them gone eaten by there easy prey sitting targets? blue morning i have it on face book ta save the song birds but them that lives in the cities dont see this deviation thats happening and i suppose dont even care and these idiot, bampots of polititions cant see past what they are going ta cheat us with next to attend to anything as small as our darling song birds 44 million drop from last year in the news on monday but still blaming the farmers who feed most of them you cant make it up ,,

Owen there was a trial in one aera in england, midlands i think there were a few lads got a contract from a town to get rid of the streeters , they recieved the awful from a brewery soaked this into barley and fed it to the streeters they were drunk falling about every where and they just went and picked them up and disposed of them, but the public started ta complain about it and was abruptly stopped if it was allowed for a few months in every town they would have soon sorted the problem which is now oot of control ,and andy your right the ones thats in them barns are no bloody good , and these pigeons are fouling over the hay the cows are eating and why the maff has allowed this ta carry on is unbelievable . But when a virus breaks oot abroad its us with pigeons, that they take there spite out with just ta make the people think they are doing something ta cover there jobs sorry there ARS* S

billt theres none that i have purchased the back o the fire ,all to there ain bit the gifts that ive been given regarding the doos from george ritchie has given me all my joy thrills clocking in distance races i was lucky my pal was a master and was lucky to be a mate , but he helped a lot of fanciers in our fed and aberdeen fed always giving a helping hand and fanciers on here are still putting up great performances every year since he passed away but billt he was one of a kind ?
-
Steven , i am certainly na contradicting ma sel , i will tell ye a story bit dina tell ony body ive never seen a pedigree win a national theres some good fanciers on here steve that must be saying how this is allowed on a site selling bits o paper,

Old yellow i cant follow you at all your speaking about good birds 1st club 13th fed and 2nd club , you are kidding i know about these 1st club winners from 2 ta 250 miles in our club i know they get a real buzz oot o them then they get a bad race and there gone ? you say selection is the hardest thing theres a lot on here knows every bird in my loft every year has to fly 500miles or 600+ miles some times twice in fact this year 5 flew 500 and 511miles then sent ta 600+ miles,no selection one goes all goes and getting 6 out o 8 sent to the france races but there not good birds in my mind till they are first ? And youngsters go TA 200 TA 350 miles YBN jumping them 220 miles clocking 4 early morning Ritchie 1 on this site verified them for club trophy ? Yes ye will breed good birds off a good strain of distance birds that has a long history of wins in big races off the parents that also won well and so on ? but at the distance different when different strains are put together its a lottery and you have to send them to the bitter end and treat them the same as the birds you are racing and this wont happen in a couple of years thats a fact ? And mark put down your wins when selling birds instead of saying on here they are KIRKPATRICKS better putting down birds off your winners at your best distances, as 100mile winners are 10 a penny ? As i am certain you will win a lottery before you get a kirkpatrick and selling birds to novices is out o order i cant stop it but i can certainly warn them ?

first ,tak first left ta the funny farm first then your there

Owen its very simple to see where this sport is dying ? people come into it and ask for the advice for where to go ta buy good stock and they are told about these non existence familys of birds , when they should be advised ta spend there money on purchasing direct off the birds that have won the event s but not any of that 100mile to 200 miles rubbish if they are going ta fly 4 ta 5 or 600 mile races and not these phoney pedigrees that has one or 2 that are distant relatives of a winner on it , and put a photo of a bird that has not done a bloody thing no wonder people are fed up after buying what they think is good birds ,and cant even get them home fanciers on these sites saying this is a bargain , but would not buy them thereselves ? owen the dordin family was very sought after if some on here can remember , louella at one time sold the dordins and bought the best from dordin and of course the cheat roy wintons bionic dordins what happened overnight all the dordins in massrallas were put down didnt want the bad name ? But OWEN THE AMOUNT OF FANCIERS THAT HAS TOLD ME THEY HAVE BOUGHT THESE SUPPOSED CHAMPION BIRDS FOR THOUSANDS AND FINISHED UP KILLING THEM IS THIS NOT KILLING THE HOBBY ? Only about too months ago i got one of our feds members birds from banff in i phoned him i had it he told me they were supposed ta be great birds he bought 6 of them for a hundred pounds each and he had 2 left well he killed that one i got in as it was let off a couple of miles from his loft and it came straight back ta me , 600 quid money well spent its a JOKE ?

Lewis eddie mann fa johnshaven is one man that kept his birds pure for years was it the bit they stopped winning, myself and jakie ritchie used ta visit him on a regular basis, i said ta him that birds got an awfa bump on its heed , thats inbreeding ta much eddie,, na na loon ats brains a inbred doo get the right een and it will be the best, well i suppose if yer willing ta wait on it , well as every one knows he stuck it oot for a lang time i heard he crossed a few years back and he had some good results ?
-
Yes billt i have still got records of storm queen 2nd ta nans pride but that was in 1966 and i can tell you george ritchie had the jimmy hamilton birds and jimmy had the ritchie and whytes and i have some related ta jimmys gold award ? 7715 one of the birds ritchie & whytes clearance sale was down through jimmys gold award and is through my own birds that what happens ta keep long distance strains going but they have ta be tried ta see if they can do what they are brought in for ? But when a loft takes in a bird and kept thats half that blood gone ,so just say you keep that going 10 years your looking for another ta replace it that is crossed and the blood is very weak after 20 years another 10years ???? funny thing is most of the strains are 60 years old and where did they come from before the strains were founded as it was just when a bird won a top race that they made up a name , and then some one else wins with birds off that same birds call it another name too strains together and a champion is bred, that is another strain but out o the three strains there could be 3 from the same family one called black another white and one red this is just an example ? but billt a good stockman will hold the strain longer but i believe give a bird up ta 10 years old for breeding thats the best of it , then go ta its best racers back ta the inbred doos ta get the best oot o them for a few years , bit ta say ye have a strain of busschearts jan ardans janssens boizards verekes kirkpatricks is absolute rubbish ?
-
Stephen the kirkpatricks were well tried up in the far north did well at 500miles but when they were sent to 600mls they were never seen, but back ta the strain pure i bought a youngster off solway king in 1974 when he was 19 year old and one off london doo misty lady and 1 direct off double top,T kirkies he died in the early fifties thats more than 20 years when i bought them i would say well diluted, now Old yellow comes away we pure kirkpatricks 38 years later which takes it up ta 60 bloody years PURE your some stock man when did you start in the doos ? But steve your spot on yours are well diluted and the only way you can keep on with the strain, you start with and keep at the top is keeping the winning genes going into your birds inbreeding and crossing out but you dont expect ta throw any old bird off a pedigree and say its a kirkpatrick or busschaert etc down fall of many fanciers that try the 600miles ? Dont cross anything through your own birds unless there on par with your own birds and the only way to find that oot is the basket ? But always trust your own family if they are not letting you down , this strains have come up on these sites how many times with the same old story a strain is what you make of it as there all dollie mixtures NOW THATS A FACT ?

This Lib Was From Fraserburgh , Sent To Site Mail
walterbmasson replied to THE FIFER's topic in Race Day
yes it was the ayrshire it was a very bad morning but 8 -30am it started to clear and by 9 - 30 beautiful day birds out over morman hill in the matter of a couple of minutes there was 250 birds ,? -
Hibby theres a lot of the boizards family of birds in the north of scotland in fact there was 2 clearence sales a few years back, bob whyte of ritchie and whyte, and george ritchie which i know the rene boizards were in every pedigree,? Every strain of birds over the years the blood is there as long as the birds are still putting up good performances you ,dont clear them oot, just keep inbreeding and keep the line going with a cross or too and its the crosses you have got ta thrash out ta see if there going ta be a success at the distance you want, as for the boizards there an all round family that will win at distances of 200 miles ta 500 miles on the round about but for the 600+miles better paired up on eggs or youngster ? I sent 47 birds ta the feds longest race 483 miles in the last 4 years and clocked 33 day birds positions in club 1st 2nd 2nd 2nd 3rd 3rd 3rd 4th 4th 5th 6th 6th only in first six, fed 1st 4th 5th 6th 7th 9th 11th 14th 21st 24th also taking sec 3rd 7th 11th 12th & open 118th 187th 205th in last 4 years in snfc and they are never trained just jumped into 200miles ta 250 miles and never more than 28 racers wintered ,and they must fly 500miles or 600 miles to earn its perch if this was carried out in every loft there wouldnt be this massive losses ?

I did handle louvre11 in 1974 she was a small ta medium hen with the softest mussel it just hung from her the kind that would keep going when the going got really tought i tried to buy a daughter direct off her but michael masseralla said he could not sell one at that time so i bought 2 grand sons ?? But the best breeding bird that came north out of the boizards family was the ritchie & whyte frenchman which left an abundance of 5 & 6 & 700 mile winnersin the snfc there was a lot of biozards in 5 0 clock rock ? I never saw any barless blues or mealies in the boizards they were the complete opposite well marked bars and black splashed we had , once you handle a bird that won 1st 4th 7th 9th national 600+ miles its engraved in your mind for the rest of your life A CRACKING PIGEON , bob whyte and george ritchie handled her that visit ?

Snfc 2013
walterbmasson replied to Rooster J. Cogburn's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
Theres no way i would like to fly from lerwick i would be flying less than 100miles ? As for the business for snfc with inland races theres very littleor none goes over the water out of the sprinters thats sent , common ian, would you rather loose the feds than loose the inland races in snfc as thats whats going ta happen i dont send to them my self as the fed needs every bird to the inland longer races ?
