  1. Train the lot of thum well Ally, but keep about 10/12 back m8 without racing thum. Just a thought m8 best of luck.
  2. Excellent detective work Ian well done. :emoticon-0137-clapping:
  3. At least their trying to do something positive for the sake of the pigeons. Good luck to everyone in the race and good returns. Just wish i had birds entered in it Grrrrrrh, always next year tho!
  4. Could be n west or wnw at racepoint. Best of luck to everyone hope it turns out a descent race with the best at the front and good returns!
  5. Great stuff guys Congratulations! These two guys are two true gentlemen of the sport.
  6. Correct m8. I was not at any channel races this year due to house move so no axe to grind. I feel for the fanciers who still have some very good birds missing from this race. In this race it looks as though the convoyer was not on top form for this one or was it lack of communication between him and controller/controller ? Dont know how anyone can say it was a descent race.
  7. Nicely done Vincey. Ur controlling talents are are still there for all to see. I myself am very envious of fanciers that were able to send and compete from open fed and national races this year especially the channel races. I was bitterly dissapointed not being able to send to any of them due to a house move nust before the Inland Nat from Billericay. Feels like i went back at least a year, nowt i can do but get on with it. :emoticon-0179-headbang:
  8. Good doo Davie well done!
  9. Well done Lewis good going!
  10. Gordon & Margaret diserve a medal. Salt of the earth people, what would we do without thum. Any success that comes their way is fully merrited! Well done to all timers. Its been proven over n over small convoys still get home. Quality fancers with quality pigeons springs to mind. :emoticon-0137- clapping:
  11. Good post Del, agree with everything you've said. I dont understand some fanciers lodgic. Why dont they understand that less is more. What i mean to say is less birds in the basket would benifit them as well as everyone else! A win win situation surley.
  12. Undoubtably the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time! Could dish it out and take it and he had been in the ring with them all. A true sporting icon and legand of legends. He was also an inspiration and freedom fighter for the people and a truly remarkable human being. Sadly missed but never ever forgotten. Rip champ you still are THE GREATEST!!!
  13. I forgot all about it. However my sister n law had £2.50 on the Winner not bad at 33/1 i'm told. She'll put ma bet on next year lol. She thinks she's the bees n ees now!
  14. Ok sounds good!
  15. Ok would the doos be basketed the night previous or in the morning Jock. Ok would the doos be basketed the night previous or in the morning Jock.
  16. Where would the pickups be Jock.
  17. Its a real tradgety even two to three wks later its hard to beleive something like that could happen to virtually a whole family. Sean was a well known fancier not only in Ireland but throughout the uk. Seans mother inlaw and little daughter miraculously survied this traggic ordeal. I would like to see a little support from basic members or any fanciers willing to donate a yb for a sale in next 2/3 wks or if fanciers prefer it could be a late bred sale. All proceeds to Seans family. A pigeon Fancier one of our own. Im sure any Seans family members would appreciate any sort of help in any way shape or form. Was still thinking of Seans family members and can only imagine the complete sorrow in the whole tradgedy. Thanks for reading thus far Please help!
  18. Some feds are down to 5/6 yb races in their programme, why do Aberdeen need about 8 races for their yb's.
  19. Spot on there stuart. Agree with everything you said there m8 especially the very last bit lol!
  20. Brilliant stuff still have some of the old results from late 70's early 80's up the loft they make interesting reading. Only 21 pigeons breaking 900 ypm the winner doing 955. My favourite type of race a head wind, it fairly sorts them out!!!
  21. Roland and mick spot on.
  22. Lol.
  23. Yb loft faces south and they love the avairy for the sun. Dry out quicker after a bath as well. Ob loft faces east or east south east obs never even start to come into any sort of form til at least end of may beggining of june. There is usually a change in some of them at that time. Before that i can only say they fly in condition. They must do that first before they can hit any form. Forgot to say i dont pair up early, so things happen later for the long races hopefully!
  24. One of the better ones! Rest in peace old son.
