  1. Seems a good idea but going by the young bird program 2 ripons I think the way young bird racing is going this year with bad racing at short distances in most feds till now would be in the best interest of young birds and fanciers if wee had 6 shorter races but wee all have our own opinions on it but the idea of the full WRC looks good for the future yours in sport
  2. Well done wattie well deserved to you and the bird superb
  3. Like to wish all fellow fanciers the very best of luck in this weekends racing with all federations and hope the gods are with us for decent racing and returns think wee need it the very best of luck to all
  4. Well done all
  5. 1st a Wylie jnr 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th Tallis and mcdonagh well done wee Alex and Tommy in which was a very hard race
  6. Well done all
  7. Back on his wee donkey lol Back on his wee donkey lol
  8. 100% wattie lol
  9. Makes you sick wen ones are blayming a man that has his own birds away and lost a lot for god sake take it on the chin and move on and I notice the one complaining most doesn't even race birds by the sounds of it but has a lot to say move on for *expletive removed* sake
  10. I think feds should train young birds through the rest of the season and forget the racing the way it's going maybay down to costs I don't no if federations will do it but surely our young birds have to to come first as ther the future wee have to think of that first as if wee don't racing will decline rapidly and no doubt a lot more fanciers saying anough is anough and packing it in as a lot are already doing just my opinion but
  11. I think wee should all accept wits happened in a very bad race and To start blaming others it's pointless at the end of the day the Lanarkshire fed has had decent races all the way through old birds and also great young bird training it's up to ourselves to send at the end of the day but I understand everyone is angry with ther losses etc I just hope that more birds worked through today to for a lot of fanciers
  12. I believe in full crops for my young birds I suppose some that have to win at all costs feed light or nothing but it's young birds that need learning so why feed light as if they hit a hard race the chances are they will go down especially with wits hapning lately with the losses at least if they have anough fuel it givs them a fighting chance to get home even next day but that's just my opinion as everyone has the own just hope fanciers get more birds today from which was a bad weekend for a lot
  13. Well done all in a very tough day for the birds
  14. I hope more birds make it through for you all it's gut wrenching that wee do all in our powers to get the birds as fit and as good as wee can and this is hapning all over in every area think it's time maybay feds just trained our young through the rest of season and give ourselves and the birds a chance next year but it's only my opinion as it can't keep going like this or our lovely sport will decline rapidly
  15. Well done Tommy and George
  16. Although the heat is definitely a factor there also federations like Ayrshire which has had 2 disasters of races wer the heat was not the problem I don't think the losses are unreal in all parts of the UK short races and short tosses so there's more to it than wee no and to get the answer would solve all our problems if only eh
  17. Sometimes fanciers expect to much you have to be your own boss and your birds it's you that they no and fly to you can only ask for advice by the sounds of it you've had that and help it's up to you if the birds are running through your blood if so you keep trying harder the pigeon game isn't easy in this day you have to accept the bad and losses etc wee face or chuck it it's up to the individual themselves but all the best of luck to all fanciers going through bad patches and hopefully things get better for our sport and ourselves
  18. With the comments and huge losses in short races and short tosses I think it's time to rest our young birds till next year at least they maybay have a better chance but everyone has their own opinions on it after all it's all about learning our young birds for the future but the way it's going the future not looking good for our birds unless wee find the real reasons for all the losses which again is in the hands of the gods in my opinion
  19. I dont think all these losses are down to hawks alone ther has to something else involved as to many all over the UK getting lost in short tosses and short races but everyone has their own oppinions
  20. Well done wattie superb flying from really good distance doos hats off to you you deserve it
