I use two empty plastic milk cartons clap them together twice like a shotgun going off .Don't kno how long it'll fool them but for as long as it works ..and real cheap to replace .They make a blidy good bang tha knos . yours in sport sandy 25

Mine faces south..but because of telephone wires might have been better facing west 1st season this year intending to start with young birds will see how it pans out and maybe turn it west after the racings over ..Has anyone any advise on that?..

In 1968 my first child was born and like yourself I made the decision your about to make thinking 20 years later I'd start up again well things dont always work out that way grand kids come along then remarried more kids then great grand kids now in my later years and after a spell of bad health I decided its now or never so almost 50 years have passed and I've finally got a loft again and a few birds , now trying to decide whether I'm too old to even contemplate racing youngsters ...TIME GOES BY A LIFETIME IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE ....Maybe just maybe your plans will pan out better than mine did ? My daughter tells me tonight that the chickens that they keep at school (as a project) have all been put down because of this .. school is Queen Anne in Dunfermline I would have thought that it is beyond the 1k of the exclusion zone .. question is does that now start a new exclusion .zone with that as a new centre ? Has anyone any ideas on this?..... Also haven't heard anything on news about this by chance has anybody? Seems strange that its being kept quiet does it not or is it more ominous than strange?

Its TOWNHILL FARM not Townhead as I stated above ( I stand corrected by her indoors ) boys I'll never hear the end o this ..... also just been corrected on the fact that its TOWNHILL LOCH as well why then I'll go to the fit o oor stairs and ....................

Its at townhead farm which is next to townhead loch just the other side of dunfermline really is a bit close for myself glad now that my birds havent been out for the past 3 weeks .problem is that lots of people excersise their dogs in that area , maybe the bad weather lately has been a blessing in disguise and helped to keep most away from the area .Here's hoping that that has been the case......

Thanks Andy .well you k ow what happens when you get to my age .The kids all get you bottles o whisky for xmas , and as you know it would be a real sin unforgivable one at that , not to sit down get comfy and try a wee drop o each .I did intend to just have wee sips but you kno what happens mare an mare goes in the glass goes down the swalley must say I enjoyed it but a wee bit oh a sare heid an her indoors says ave t wait another day before I get to drive ha ha who said I wanted t drive sh** man ive still got rubber fingers aw the best to you an yours fae me a mine ....

Hi peter just checked this out about balloon . can I ask you where you positioned it in relation to your loft ? also what did you hang it from ? my loft at bottom of garden has telephone wires above it and 20 feet from back of loft trees and empty scrub ..I have percy hanging about in trees need advise soon as thanking you for any and all info sandy
