  4. Hi BANDIT,Same in my area Dearham. Cumbria,Derwent Valley Liberated at Wollaston 164 ml. on Sat. Mo. at 10:00.the Welsh Nat.pigeons would be going over at that time,it was blowing a gale and absolutely pissing down.Lots of fanciers finished for the OB racing.several with over 20 birds missing.I dropped 5 out of 12.One returned this mo.at 06:00,he won't race again this season.Sorry about your losses.Lindsay

  7. Depends whats going onto the table,no need to buy anything special for them because when they get use,they'll just about eat anything.Carrot peelings especially, cabbage,cauly broccoli as i say anything off th table.Lindsay

  9. Harker & Berwick won Dearham,flying 173 mile from Wollaston 1845 ypm,I managed 3rd flying 166 mile at 1799.ypm.always next week.

Complete bloody shambles,got a good thing going two feds. amalgamating then this happens,pigeon racings on it's way out in this area unless we all pull in the same direction, been amang them for near 60 years.this will have to be sorted this week or it's off we go down the same old road.Lindsay C.Dearham .H.S.

  12. In a way I'm pleased the Welsh fanciers started going East we used to get hammered with birds clashing,still get caught out now,when our birds are at this weeks race point Wollaston.Hope they don't catch up with ours being liberated.Lindsay

  14. I thought most of the Welsh birds were at Folkestone,might be wrong though.Quite a few post said Welsh North road and other feds there.I know the Up North Combine have about 45,000 birds there don't want to get mixed up with them.Lindsay

I fly my young birds on natural,if they want to pair up they can.On darkness at the moment,am. just a treat to let them know who's the boss and make sure they are all hungry and showing no signs of y.b.s.in the afternoon young bird high protein as much as they want. Once off darkness they go on the gerry plus system by the book.

  19. What reason do the fed give for basketting on Thusrday and are you the only one's who do this.I could understand it if the birds were being transported on the night ???????? Lindsay PS.What time do the UNC basket on Friday it's got to be very early to get the birds on site and settled.

  24. I beleive calcium counteracts some antibiotics and would render the treatment useless.
  25. If he gave you an antibiotic,which i'm sure he would ,did he advise you to remove any grit or minerals,if not I would remove them.Lindsay
