  3. Hi Mate, having been lucky enough over the years to have one or two in my opinion good distance birds and being able to look at their wings first hand,I like them like swallows. They seem to have a lot of gain after each flight and give the impression of being long, thin flighted.Just my observations.Lindsay
  4. Hi Vic,Totally agree would at sometimes have swapped the top of the sheet for an old favourite or even just better returns.Lindsay.
  5. Hi Vic, you must be young and agile looking at the times you can clock a pigeon, there are fanciers in our club who would take upto 30 seconds to clock their first bird, probably dropping the first thimblue due to atheritis ,blokes in there 80's and unstable on their feet at the best of times.I'm pretty fit at 63,64 next month and them few seconds count if you want to be at the top of the sheet.
  6. Hi pigeon82,the old STB have no cover plate and there might be a chance that the rubber could jump out, they were modified and are now fitted with a plate.

  22. Years ago when we got hot summers I use to show bugerigars, I stopped using CLO for two reasons, one because of it's smell,it attracted cats at night. Two because it went rancid with the heat.I used Scotts Emulsion but I don't know if it's still on the market.I now use ground nut oil or garlic plus thendry out with brewers yeast by Natural.Lindsay
  23. Nothing seen around here Kev,usually 8/9 April before they turn up. Lindsay.West Cumbria
