  8. Marlborough near enough 240mile to me,will sort six out,hens coming on to lay so they'll be left at home.
  9. In your opinion what would you feed darkness young birds on while they are going through the body moult,at present i'm feeding high protein no maize yb mix but often thought it might be better feeding a moulting mix.Lindsay C

This time last week my mate was looking for a lengh of rope,not to tow his car with either.Most fanciers in Derwent Valley couldn't beleive what had happened and that wasn't just the losses.This week even though the losses were again excessive the rope stayed well and truly out of arms reach. I have three lofts from Blakes they all let water in,but if you give them a good coat of paint/varnish every season it will keep most of the rain out.I went round all the windows andjoints with silicon and the back corners with 6inch angle sheeting,here's a photo I took earlier this year.The woods too thin it's only 10mm.Lindsay Click on photo to enlarge.
  16. After last weeks massive losses thought we might have got a good race.Racing from Cheltenham losses again at most lofts in double figures velocities 2000ypm +.

When our baskets are dropped off by the transporter we clean and disinfect them ourselves and renew shavings ready for the following week.The federation charges the club £9:00 / basket for transport costs and return delivery of the baskets irrespective of how many birds are in each basket ( max 25) .Lindsay
