  2. There's never an answer to that sort of question, keep him going ? you loss him.Stop him and the hawks take him.A friend of mine and one of the best fanciers in the federation I fly in done exactly that last week, stopped his best hen two days later she didn't return from flying round the loft. It's a question (IMO) that you'll have to answer for youself,do you keep them to race or there's next year and move a few eggs off him.Even though he's a good bird he might never breed anything that's any good. It's scrat your head time ???????????,good luck with your choice. Lindsay.

  11. Thanks for your coments, had a rough night looks like someone's thown a stun grenade in the bed room, looked out of the window first thing,a dark cheq sitting ,looking like he's been through the washing m/c but hadn't been spin dried. The weathers not helping things blowing with the odd spot of rain.Ten home sixteen to come, living in hopes .Lindsay C. pjc.No mate, but was only the third + they were not out the day before because of the weather.Lindsay C.
  12. Must be starting to work mate now have six in the loft.Lindsay C
  13. Just when you think you've got everything beaten,no young bird sickness everything going great it happens.Let the old birds out this mo.had a good fly landed on the garden spinning like tops. That'll do for me Portsmouth tonight looking good.Had a cuppa then opened the young bird door (08:00) and away they go,cleaned out etc .etc.09:00 not a bird in sight.10:00 still nothing 11:00 kicking a few sods round the garden but no young birds and weather getting worse by the minute. Now nearly 15:20Hrs two young birds in the loft and to hell with Portsmouth.Enoughs enough. Can't take this any longer.Had a bad start to the season breeding wise a couple of mates bred me some off their best, all gone. Not much hope now.Lindsay C

  20. Copied from Phillip "Every time he goes on a fighting spree , put him in a big paper bag and give him a few good shakes".This is a great thing but miss the shakes out and put a chopped onion in the bag with him. This is also a good way of stopping a pigeon which you are trying to break and persists in going back to their old loft.Collect the pigeon from wherever put it in a feed bag with a chopped onion and leave it in for a couple of hours. They are not to keen on that treatment. Lindsay
  21. Some sense of humor?????????? Lindsay C.
  22. Tie his legs together, leave about an inch slack so he can get about, when fighting he won't be able to keep his balance or get any leverage. He'll soon get fed up of getting a hiding.(Old Indian Trick).Lindsay
  23. What's the problem mate, maybe someone on here can help. Lindsay.
  24. REDCHEQHEN, Been trying to get you a link on a site in Australia but there are probs at the mo. Loads of info on this site including copper sulphate. They use a level teaspoon to 10 litres of water once a week, some use it more than once. When I get the link sorted i'll send it to you. You'll have to join just like any other pigeon forum,I must admit it is a good site even though there ways are different to GB.Lindsay C
  25. Do you mean floor dressing.Any pigeon feed supplier should be able to get you that.
