ive had the same trouble but with magpies nesting in a tree close buy ,they where very cunning in ambushing not just my old birds but my young as well, they would catch them by the wing or tail and drag them down to the guttering and peck at the eyes and head of the pigeon,but I got very cunning too, and they don't do it anymore.

the birds will work in when we get a dry spell, which could be tomorrow, but you have to ask why you sent them when the weather told you it was going to be a tough call ,but everyone has there own mind to make up. why wait all year to keep them then put the birds in a position where the weather is going to beat them in the first place .

pigeon just came in SU16 AV 4162 THINK BOP HAS HAD A GO AT IT I WAS THINKING OF LETTING IT GO TOMORROW MORNING AS IM WORKING IN KENDAL TOMMOROW BUT HAVE TO LEAVE EARLY 5AM BUT IF ONWNER IS ON BASICS I CAN GET IT TO THEM WEDNNESDAY IT FED AND WATERED AND IN A BASKET

I notice ,that walter has won his race with a latebred, which I assume has been trained well, unlike the trial,andy burgess was having to try because of the bop problems. hope they made it andy and have learned something for there further endeavours all the best.

there doesn't seem to be many, times or returns, posted we must be back racing right enough. back to normal hope most of your birds are home.

I have a pigeon ring number su15 5829 i am just back from working away for 3 days this bird may have been in since Thursday so I didn't think it was at a race my birds haven't been out since Thursday looking to get it back to owner if local or at least try to help get it back! anyone know of its club

Been reading all your posts and all seem to to be relevant to one another I am new to this forum and it gives good in site to what frustrations pigeon mens pigeon fanciers have ,my own is that when my pigeons have been attacked be it east or west ,there never the same coming out of basket I have seen them go straight for cover or not come out at all ,they then take a longer time to home not race so my question is are they finished as racing pigeons or do I keep putting them through
