This bird has been hanging around for a few days managed to get it in my aviary very hungry and a bit down in body i will feed it till someone claims it on here or report to shu cheers

I know its a bit out the park but ive seen a squirrel in my cousins loft and it caused a lot of mayhem, it was getting in through the 2 inch gap at the top of loft they will eat young squabs and if they can pin a bird down they could be a culprit, as they take the young of magpies and crows and usually leave the head of birds they catch so watch for one.

Here is a new one for me i just got a y/bird home which i lost in training at beginning of season, i thought a bop victim or such ,but it has came from the dead with an ETS ring on it, which is strange because none of my other y/birds have been registered on ETS so y/bird losses are not all bop victims our own so called fanciers are making it look that way,i now have a bird that cant be trusted to go racing, and the person who had it shouldnt have been racing it, the games gone sour.

training or racing ,the bop dont see the difference it is still food for the table and more birds in training van, we only have big numbers on a race day, if training twice a week thats more big numbers and twice as many chances of losses, i have not lost a bird this season in y/bird training myself in small groups of 6 although im only educating them and little flights of 15miles, been to kelso 3 times so far and 7 missing in action but maybe not all down to bop the moult is also a big factor,they dont do so well without all there feathers.

its food for thought, get a survey on here derek, and find out all the pros and cons,i am always in favour of cutting out there main food source ,the less food the more territory they have to patrol and keep rivals away so less bop so later racing ideal, weather is better than ours has been so far good luck

Bird came in with my birds last night SU19NW4300 race rubber no stamp ,but it could have thrown it as on last 3 and heavy in moult. if wishing to claim it before it goes to club stray basket call 07807091927 and i will try to get her back to whoever.

just got my bird at 1305 today couldnt get her in as young birds where keeping her out of trap absolutely knackered went to get clock rung off and it was closed ,i thought it was 400 yd race even a late bird deserves to be recorded

Now that the race is over can anyone tell who is the front runners for the gold prize, unfortunately with no lib line and only some pigeons recorded, its been a bit vague on times and section winners, i was not at the race, but im always looking to see who has had there hard work pay off,i can wait till offical result like everyone else,but if i had been at race and timed in i would be glad to share it with my fellow fanciers,again all the best to all who got them and hopefully good returns for everyone
