I bought sticky ets labels off Ebay they stick well and have to be picked off for old birds.

A cracker of a day here but a tad hot for sitting outside nae oxygen ,the birds are puffin tae themselves.

Yes Hotrod i agree its up to me what i train but my point is i wouldnt like to concentrate say on young birds when we are going to get old bird races first or vice versa ,as it would give us 3 weeks only to get trained or less according to weather etc .

So training from 28th what gets trained old or young birds or all ?? .Will we get SNFC racing a lot still unanswered eh its certainly a wait and see game eh.

I think he would be looking at 40/50 i would say but hopefully SHU should be back soon ,but then i suppose they will be over whelmed by requests of one thing or another they should have kept at least one employee doing daily requests but who knows .

A ring costs £1.45 for Unikon and the same for Tauris but in saying that Tauris ets are cheaper normally from else where.

Just watched a peregrine from my window it was getting harassed by a crow high up in the clear sky ,thank god nae doos out yet a pal had one sitting on his wall looking at his birds about 2 weeks ago bluddy pests.

The whole thing is do away with the stupid law that stops kids working until they are 16 and go back to the parks with tattie squads made up of 10/11/12/13/14/year old kids doing the work like a lot of my age did for some cash for yer pocket .It was at times a bit sore until the stiffness wore of but hey there was a lot of laughs and good fun .

Stevie,I think some years are worse than others 3 years ago i was plagued by sparrow hawk ,i had 3 killed 4 doos i was able to chase off hawk and 2 disappeared 8 strikes i witnessed .This year one attack ,I know it just sickens you but we just have to put up with it or pack in nae easy solution i am afraid.I live in terraced housing 6 gardens (neighbours) have all witnessed hawk attacks in there garden,yes my doos .

IMO,With the possibility of no racing is this not a good time not to treat and let nature do its duty ,stop all this intervention with medication when some bird looks a bit sick let nature take its course .Like me i am sure fanciers are sitting with a large amount of birds or some are .I think this would be good practise for the coming year to help build back in natural immunity ,if and when we here of a time to start preparing for a race review your situation ,just a thought.

If youngster is a black splash cock the mother was a red cheq hen IMO.

South West winds most prevalent or so they say in the UK .In my loft i use day light low energy bulbs and they are on all day,makes a great odds .Loft faces west but under shade of house until later this month.

7 Youngsters away 6 in nest and i gave a friend 6 don't think i will race youngsters but things might change .

I use Layers pellets ,i introduce them when the doos feeding youngsters .I feed pellets in the morning and Breed & Wean last feed on shutting up
