Because the fed has decided to start races 19th July ,it doesnt mean we have to come hell or high water race that day ,if weather is against giving the doos a good chance ,then you postpond thats what i am saying ,if it takes all August & September so be it.

If need be but seriously there wasnt imo any reason that the first race could not have been postponed as the heat wave was well warned of on the weather sites ,now dont get me wrong ,i didnt lose any ,i didnt put but in the interest of the birds and doo guys that were sick with there losses ,its not a case of we must have a race it can be put back or rearranged for later.

Last week i had a young ane didnt come in with the rest when called it sat on the roof most of the day and it was very hot and dry atmosphere any way,when i did get it in and into its section it didnt no its *expletive removed* frae its elbow it did nt know where drinker was it didnt pick up feed,it was obviously dazed with dehydration ,it wasnt right until i stuck its head in drinker,IMO we shouldnt be racing in these wild tempratures ,start young bird racing in August later if need be ,the first race as i heard was a bit of a disaster and yesterday nae a lot better ,I havent put yet because of weather so will see what next weeks like.

In a lot oh cases you would be right hard job for any controler.

I didnt put birds last week 1st young bird race ,by all accounts with losses fowk had i am glad ,thick fog inland 12 miles from coast and then when it lifted very hot ,was it clear on coast ?? who knows but always remember you are your own race controler( watch the weather!!!).Any way terrible heat forecast for Saturday and its 101 mile to me first race ,what if birds dont drink on transporter ,dehydration,give it a miss?? what do you think ,wait another week then its a comeback 67miles ,sound better ??

3 BIRDS IN SHED HURT luckily not to bad 2 youngsters and 1 old doo ,sometimes you just dont know the reason,hawk,wires,whatever its a sickner.

Wish you all the best ,no one is ever ready when it comes to this sort of thing but the hospitals have great teams and good nurses so you will be well cared for.

28 birds bred tae race trained out to 20 mile 6 tosses lost 1 got 27 now fingers crossed.12 later bred maybe get them into race later will see supposedly lang distance will see.Goodluck to all!!!

Latebreds IMO are youngsters born to late to race the year of birth ,and the summer months can breed some crackin young ie warmer days etc ,if you just keep them for hobby latebreds will be fine.

XC weather site ,says mist and touch fog for Aberdeen ,Turriff,so that wid be on the coast as well,but fa wid ken! will wait and see if it changes .

The thing is as Robbie said there are 3 Unikon clocks and 11 Tauris clocks ,so the Tauris can they be put into this programe ,and then some how connect up the unikon clocks into the same system then print off result or do the programes deal with Unikon only .I as you will understand am trying to find a quicker method so there is less hassle for people concerned and if you dont look into things you dont learn nothing so your ideas are a help thanks ,anymore ??

Aye you are right there this is the thing 2 different clocks ,but it was just an observation by me at clock opening that with ets on result nights they are nae any further on as regards speed,so next question is their not something ,programe,that would deal with this.

I was just wondering when you open clocks ,ETS for your results and you get each members times printed off ,in our club we then have to put in manualy members times into main computor before we get printed result .Question is is there a system where by the information off each clock goes direct to the computer then it calculates positions before printing placeings ie 1st 2nd 3rd etc etc avoiding manual work. I hope i have made this so as you lads can understand ,i will await your input.

Birds coming on fine 15 mile 22mins 1 back a bit hurt so out of the game for a while .

If you have worries put them in a wire dog cage on top of loft for a week feeding them into their section each night as you open cage ,remember to put drinker on cage for when they are on roof it works for me .
