  1. Delboy, you got a crystal ball ? Congratulations to the Maskame family - some year
  2. From an "outsiders" view, a fancier that I would have thought very worthy of a write up would be Norman Orr. His performances at SNFC level and being a 4 times winner of the Lanarkshire Social Circle's prestigious gold cup, puts him up there with the elite [ IMO ].
  3. Had a similar problem many years ago when feeding too much conditioner seed.
  4. Another blast from the past, the "social club " of the Dundee Federation Sixth from the left [standing ] Willie Peet, the SHU Dewar trophy winner from 1980 with a Blue Cock, " Whisky Galore " 6th & 28th open SNFC Avranches 1 & 2. Unfortunately, this pigeon was killed on the pylons within months of winning this prestigious trophy.
  5. Congratulations Stuart, a very worthy winner.
  6. An interesting read, taken from one of the best books I've ever read on pigeon racing.
  7. See post 9.
  8. Is there a sale list ?
  9. Totally agree with you regarding SNFC concentrating on channel races.
  10. Some season for R. Reid, Beith and well done to all trophy winners
  11. Unfortunately your right Derek :emoticon-0138-thinking. Anyhow, enough negativity for tonight. Have you not got a photograph of that exceptional doo Spider ? I'm sure that would create a bit of interest.
  12. Lawhill - another club that has gone to the wall . Bottom right, "Mr Lawhill", the late Bob McHugh, must be turning in his grave at the demise of "his" club.
  13. Great performance Brian, and the rest of your season wasn't too bad either :emoti con-0137-clapping:
  14. Who had the only young bird on the day ? Was it someone Gray ? Anyhow, sorry to hear of this very bad race and hope a lot manage home in due course.
  15. Sort item 2 and racing will improve dramatically for all fanciers, and far more enjoyable The other items we could sort in due course, but for me item 2 needs priority.
  16. Thanks for the update, good luck with them.
  17. What did they produce for you Derek ?
  18. Very sad news, RIP.
  19. We bought a young bird from your dad around 1979. If my memory is correct it was bred from a pigeon that won the west section from Avranches in SNFC. I believe his pigeons were based on the bloodlines of Davidson of Rigside [ "Rigside Alma "] and a Mr Jenkins from the Lochwinnoch area ? The youngster we bought went on to be our time in from Sartilly SNFC in 1982.
  20. Ring issued to J. Wiseman tel 01382 380751
