On reading the report on the SNFC annual presentation in this weeks BHW [ page 22 ]. I note that the E.T.R.D. Newcombe trophy [ The flying festival trophy ] was awarded to a loft in Elphinstone [ 2nd open ]. Now , if I am not mistaken, this trophy is awarded to the winner of the east region in the SNFC gold cup race. That being the case and, unless there is some other criteria relating to the award of this trophy, I am of the opinion that this trophy should have been awarded to the winner of the race,also competing in east region. Would be interested to hear other members views on this situation.
