Think you are correct and she bred Amazing Grace which in turn [ I think ] bred Mill Queen and she bred Mill Princess ???

Top breeders are harder to come by than racers and I would opt for Whitetail bred by the late Willie Wilson of Larkhall. She won 1st west section, 5th open Nantes SNFC but was better known for being a prolific breeder. Many winning lofts in Scotland owed their success to her bloodlines.

Was there not a cross of Russell Brothers, Dromore in their pigeons also ?

It's a great line of distance pigeons and the Blacks have clocked many birds in the top 10 of the Kings Cup race.

I bought a youngster, Blue w/f cock direct from him in 1998, he was a cracking type of bird.

On reading the report on the SNFC annual presentation in this weeks BHW [ page 22 ]. I note that the E.T.R.D. Newcombe trophy [ The flying festival trophy ] was awarded to a loft in Elphinstone [ 2nd open ]. Now , if I am not mistaken, this trophy is awarded to the winner of the east region in the SNFC gold cup race. That being the case and, unless there is some other criteria relating to the award of this trophy, I am of the opinion that this trophy should have been awarded to the winner of the race,also competing in east region. Would be interested to hear other members views on this situation.

Lady Janet was 5th Open SNFC Sartilly [ 1992 ? ] bred from a brother of Rowena x hen from W Davidson & Son, Coalburn.
