  1. Well done Graeme & Arty
  2. Maybe a bit radical, probably impossible to go with 10mph but don't think that wind conditions are factored into the thoughts of the controllers before liberations, especially with YB's. Food for thought, after being a minor grade football referee for 20yrs, can't ever remember a game postponed due to strong winds. But can think of many games that were spoiled due to the strong winds. Equally the same with pigeon races,!!!!!!!!!!!! AW THE BEST
  3. Another stray pigeon helped on it's way by the "so called Forfar pigeon fanciers" LOL Good on you David
  4. Well done Ian and Jock cannae keep a guid Cowden man doon!!!!
  5. Great flying Paul, keep it up, hope you've got your National candidates picked out.
  6. Brilliant post Del, very true and honest with a bit of controversy thrown in as per usual. LOL Might add just one point, we should keep our birds in between October and February, the BOP's are good but they cannae survive withoot eatin'AW THE BEST I realise your original thread was about YB losses but whenever I read a post about BOP's I like to get ma tuppence worth in
  7. Sorry to hear about this, think that sometimes we become lax about loft security. This is a stark reminder that there a lot of unsavoury and opportunist individuals going about, that's putting it politely. My loft is not at my back door but the best alarm or vermin deterrent ( 4 or 2 legged) are my 2 trusty Jack Russels. It is a sad reflection on our society that we have to start looking at CCTV or alarms for our lofts. The real"doo" men of yesteryear must be turning in their graves at the thought of such goings on. I hope the culprits are found. more importantly you get your property back, lastly you know my number and if you need a "hand" don't hesitate to call AW THE BEST
  8. You will be praying for a West wind every week, not taking anything away from winner, WELL DONE

  12. Aye David, might be a different kettle 'o' fish next week in amongst the hills

  14. 58
  15. Due to work etc, only logging onto site today. Perhaps you should not make general derogatory comments about "so called fanciers". I can assure you that their are more helpful and obliging fanciers in the Forfar club than you are liable to get in any other club in Britain. It would appear to me that in trying to do a favour he has got it wrong on your part. It might be worth your while when on to the SHU, TO GET THEM TO REMIND ALL CLUBS THAT YOUNGSTERS SHOULD BE WING STAMPED(i note that yours was). We as a club, under the guidance and leadership of men like Dave Liddle run a very tight ship and we do know about the stray centre. It never ceases to amaze me that people don't see the good in others and are always ready to criticise. AW THE BEST
  16. Well done wee man LOL
  17. We have a kit of 6 latebreds for sale, from the stock loft. They are from the best of the Corbett Busschaerts, birds the same way bred have won at Federation and Combine level. They would make excellent stock birds, for more info P.M. Smiler or phone 07851256324. Priced to sell at 6 for £250. With a bit of luck Jimmy might be able to put up some photos of the youngsters.
  18. Cracking youngsters, look a bit like some youngsters I have up here in Forfar LOL. New camera looks to be working fine Jimmy
  19. Well done Dave, hope your club form continues for the Nationals

  21. Well done Dave, three weeks on trot 1st and 2nd, brilliant flying
  22. Local laws apply, there will be a minimum distance from you boundary, height restriction before planning permission or building warrant is needed. Gone are the good old days when " yi kid day what yi liked ", much depends on how the neighbours react to it.
