  1. Have been to see birds for sale. Can confirm there are 58 birds. There are 8 birds bought direct from the Barcelona Challenge Loft of McGee/Tyreman all with pedigrees, there are a further 10 birds bred from these pigeons. Graeme was obviously trying to build a team of birds to compete at National level. He had some minor success, his best result being with one of the Barcelona Challenge birds, this being a hen named Basin View Mademoiselle which was 11th Sect, 13th Open SNFC Clermont 2012. This hen and similarly bred pigeons will all be in the sale. If you are looking for birds to compete at National level then don't think you can go wrong with these, they are bred for the distance. There are some nestbowls, gallipots and baskets. For further info please phone me on 07773363406. AW THE BEST
  2. Thanks Ian, will be in touch, cannae get in to put pens up until the Saturday morning, so an extra pair of hands would be appreciated.

  8. TIME TO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE JOHN, believe you are back in this magnificent sport of ours after a bit of a break. Things ain't like they used to be, that's not an opinion that's a fact. AW THE BEST
  9. It's like everything else in life......ye pays yer money, ye takes yer chances. We all have opinions, many differing to the extreme. We shouldn't be knocking the competitors for having a go, there is so much negativety about our wonderful sport, or should I say so many negative thinking people. Anyone, anywhere, should be applauded for having a go. This race certainly is being "viewed" by a hell of a lot of people on this site. Admittedly it's not for the faint hearted, consider how many young birds are lost over a season in "normal" racing. Each to their own, don't knock it till you've tried it, again only my opinion.
  10. Thanks

  15. How did flying with a different Federation make the OBVIOUS difference
  16. Having gone into partnership last year, we are going to move the stock birds to one location. As a result of this there are well bred mature stock and very well bred latebreds surplus to our requirements. There are birds from Federation winners, SNFC section winner and birds to have won at National level. This year we have had multiple wins at club and Federation, regularly taking 10 or more positions in the top 20 of the Federation, one week taking the 1st 20 positions, with YB's. The majority of the latebreds are Corbett Busschaerts and are £50 each, prices of other birds are open to offer, most will come with pedigrees and are same or similar breeding to our YB race team that have been outstanding this year. Although latebreds they will be able for pairing early next year. All enquiries should go to J Curran on 07851256324 or PM myself or Smiler.
  17. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION LOL
  18. Ye kin oanly fly against the birds in the race. It is a National, open to all and could be considered the easy option as it has a smaller birdage, still a hello a lot o guid doo men in the SNRPC.
  19. Iam not going for the easy option, I'm going for what I think would be best for my birds. I will still send with SNFC races that are included in my Federation programme, or races of my choosing. Time to be my own controller!!!!! It's about the birds not me.
  20. This is maybe a bit of thread but would like to comment on. Anyone that knows me will know that I certainly don't lack ambition, but will be flying mostly in SNRPC races from now on. The reasons behind this is that IMO, the pigeons and the fanciers North of the Tay are given due consideration before the birds are liberated. As this thread has stated on a few posts you can only fly to where you are geographically situated and I would never bemoan my location, what I will do is fly with the National that gives due consideration to all.
  21. Finish the season on a high (hopefully) sending 23, GOOD LUCK to all competing AW THE BEST
