as usual I forgot to mention the main stay of gordons efforts, margaret hillis. margaret has to put up with his rantin and ravin as he prepares to go where no man has ever gone before. margaret makes pieces, tea, sorts out all his medicines and makes sure he has everything with him he needs. this type of effort by the two has been going on for years. so thanks to the both of you.

point proven with small convoys. these birds have proven if they are good enough size of convoy matters not one bit. well done to all and a special well done to gordon geddes for making this all possible. gordon has year in year out put an enourmous amount of his own time and resources into helping the pigeon fancy.

according to web site 252 birds were away. snrpc did go previously with small convoys and have had some outstanding performances. the doos do not know how many are away. very little chance of followers in this size liberation.

you know a lot about transporters KJ. you know some magicians can make them disappear.
  12. blue pied " shafted again " " disaster " no mention of politics there. why do people not wait to see the outcome of a race before ploughing in with comments like these. I am all for having your say but continually haranging people who are trying their best does nobody any favours. you start by using numbers and end by using per centages which also confuses the issue. Delboy has 99% returns. You have 100% returns. your club as awhole has over 95% returns. no politics in that. These per centages are facts.
  13. Blue pied Andrew you posted " Glasgow absolutely shafted again " earlier on now you tell us 38 home from 39 sent by club great. in politics this would be a massive u turn I think.

  15. Glasgow transporter holds 40 crates with 28 in each Total 1120 not two thousand. Glasgow baskets are on SL motor to make the transport more economical. In these times this seems a sensible thing to do. Race controlling of the joint Liberation is in the hands of Stuart Mullen a Glasgow member. This week the problem with Retford washighlighted to Gordon Geddes by the RPRA Friday. Being a reasonable guy he let other feds intending to go to Retford know the situation. No one is asking what would have happened if Gordon Geddes would not have let other feds know the situation and they headed out for Retford on Friday night. Is it no about time that everyone dealt with their own situation and be thankful their are some people doing their best week in week out to ensure racing goes ahead as smoothly as possible. If people think they can do things better get involved and give a hand. I fail to understand how the change of a racepoint in Lanrkshire fed ends up in an all out attack on another couple of feds and one individual in name. I wonder why the pigeon game is dying away.
  16. upside down question mark. intelligent? unique. must be a job for RPRA fanciers. SHU ones canny get the question mark the right way up.
  17. "These must be adhered to 100%, and in the same way to all members." I suggest that this is the most important part of the full topic. Unfortunately most organisations go out of their way to ensure this does not happen in my opinion.

Find it strange that after the birds have been picked up and transported from Gretna that pigeon fanciers still think it is the person who is doing the good turn should then phone round the individual owners or clubs / feds. Would it not be helpful if someone in the same club / fed could ring the relevant secretary. Then we ask why is the pigeon game going down hill?
  19. Andrew are your birds paired up?

Just had further email from finder. Bird was in a hanger at Glasgow Airport. Hit a wall and went down. Escaped and flew off last night. Is the bird home? and to whose loft?
