  2. apologise for the time insert here it was 6.28am. 6.28.
  3. photos taken at 6.28am. at otterburn. this is why we and others liberated. i am only veryifying glasgows reasoning not having a go at anyone.
  4. martin all i am doing is guarding the actions of those who liberated at otterburn. while the returns are not as good as everyone would wish , the weather at liberation met all the criteria for liberation. the race controllers and convoyers should not be hung for doing their job. unfortunately all this debate does is discourage people to take on jobs for fear of being hammered for doing nothing wrong. i hope more doos turn up to those who are waiting on them.
  5. stb, on the other site, has stated from other pictures hes seen taken at 6.15am at the site that the weather appeared fine. its all about about individual perception. we took photos to back ourselves up as a similar situation happened last year. all we are all trying to do is give the pigeons a chance. when i get hold of the other pictures from 6.15am i will post them. hope all those waiting on birds get most back home.
  6. confirming the weather at the top of the hill site where glasgow were. i believe the photo is of the sky is it not, usually a major player when people try to interprit weather.

  14. The Scottish National Racing Pigeon Club use the tunnel rail link every year and will do so again this year. Time saved is invaluable and benefits both driver and pigeons. Financially this option is streets ahead of the ferry crossing. The SNRPC will use the tunnel rail link for the Reims Gold Medal race and the Arras race this season 2011.

In today SU07W547 DARK CH COCK. Unikon ring still in place. Contact 01417792557. Anyone know who owns this bird?
  16. To avoid confusion glasgow fed is a member of the RPRA. As far as I am aware that is the way it will stay for the foreseeable future. It is unlikely any members will want to down grade to older less reliable transport when they are presently transported by new purpose made geraldy transporters. The choice is up to individual members. I am sure that the west strathclyde federation will continue reap the rewards that their undeniable stringent efforts merit.
  17. i know a lot of people who are missing a number of birds alf. my main point is that no one is to blame. controller and convoyer did the same as they do every week, when the racing is good no one says anything. when rhe going gets tough everyone is looking for a hammer and nails.the barbed comments and bar room experts are forcing convoyers and race controllers out the door with attacks based on supposition.asking questions is fine. proposala are fine. both should be followed through to agms and discussed in full there. personal attacks based on supposition are not good. if we think the race officials are not up to it replace them.do not attack them on forums like this do it officially and see where the rest of the members stand on the issue when it comes to the crunch.
  18. why did the birds at berwick not interfere with the wetherby pigeons of midlotian and lanarkshire? liberated at 6.30 and 7.15am. did they hide and wait for the glasgow/renfrew pigeons and then entice them to go south. does not add up.
  19. Glasgow fed away at witton castle/bishop auckland 7.15am sw wind.
  20. 11.21 muirhead. 55 out of 64 by 2pm.

  24. hotrod over the last couple of years by the time you get to the start of june there is not enough to cover the fuel. ybs much the same two maybe three weeks then numbers are poor. over the season, the last two anyway, the money taken struggles to cover the fuel costs. other point is i usually take the birds from up here as if we wait on the doos from your area some doos are four or five hours in the basket. tuesday and thursday i drive 33miles from gordos place and release. wednesday usually coldstream/st boswells. a drive of around 90 miles each way. £3 a day. some people do give the wee bit extra on a wednesday.
  25. training from gordons hotrod has been £3 a toss. this year who knows?
