  1. so where are the records of the unsold rings kept.
  2. the ring is automatically registered when it is paid for by the club to the shu. all this man was trying to do was to transfer the birds with the rings on to his name. no matter how anyone tries to dress this up the actions of the union involved are seriously wrong at best.
  3. the fancier is an rpra member.
  4. the fancier does not need to be a member. why do rpra members based in england have no problems transfering shu rung birds? this organisation has had lottery grants and is supposedly the ruling authority in scotland. what a joke.
  5. the shu is the registration authority for the rings in question. if the rings need to be transfered they are the only organisation who can transfer them. the refusal to transfer breeches many individual rights. what does the fancier do sit back and accept the outrageous situation he is in ? as a result of the position taken by the union in question. what does he do with the pigeons as they will not be able to race?
  6. rings are official register of pigeon during pigeons lifetime. same as tag on cows ear registered with national farmers union throughout lifetime of cow. as part of the deal in selling the ring the union makes around 400 per cent profit per ring. this charge contains the duty to maintain the registration and record of movement of the registration if need be. a legal obligation. this applies to rpra nehu whu nipa shu etc etc. other wise fanciers would be buying registration rings direct from the wholesale source and thus depriving the union of a major part of their annual income. the responsibility is with the union to provide the details.
  7. say a shop sells you a television and then closes. the television does not work a month later. you still have the right to take the matter up with the original seller of the television or manufacturer. your right is based on the item not doing what it is supposed to do. the same appliues to the rings. surely that is not diificult to understand.
  8. shu / issuing union are breaking trade descritions act. the rings are sold and a profit is made. the rings are a means of registration and proof of ownership. hamilton trading standards or murdos local trading standards office willl take this on for him. go to alec neil snp msp and lay it in front of him. he portrays himself as the pigeon mans friend. trading standards are based in local council offices. they are extremely helpful. as to going to court avoid at all costs. all you do is send a lawyer on holiday or pay for their families private schooling. the buck stops with shu no other organisation they make the profit and have a duty of care to the person who buys the rings. it would also help if every one with the problem went to the msp local to the shu offices and put the problem in front of them. hope this helps.

  11. had a similar problem 6 or 7 years ago. every time went into loft pigeons came to me flapping as if begging for more. tried everything. nothing worked. put the question you asked to Dr. Gordon Chalmers of BHW column. He suggested I give them more carbo hydrates. Maize barley wheat etc in the mixture. This worked for me. Similar to IBs barley and rice suggestion.
  12. if you pm me the details i will let the owner ( e jones and grandson kilsyth ) know and where to pick it up. thanks
  13. should not the welsh.irish, nehu, scottish and other pigeon organisations have said something. seems the rpra are wrongly being taken to task again by some.
  14. ask hotrod he won the SNRPC Reims Gold medal race last year in a west wind 590 miles into Port Glasgow. national racing from more easterly racepoints such as Reims and Leige has produced a much wider/better spread of the early pigeons in recent years. statistics would say easterly racepoints produce wht appear to be fairer results.
  15. good to see you appreciate a good performance by a pigeon into scotland wuldon. the bitterness and venom are coming out of you like sweat on a hot day. as far as being a joke fanciers such as Peter Virue, Denis Dall, John Proctor, Jim Benvie, John Ellis, Walker and Wilson, Norman Renton, Stevie Aitchinson, Pete Patrick, Stewart Mullan, Wilson and Jack, and Chris Little to name a few would not agree with you. They are and have been members of the SNRPC since it started. I doubt that many would consider the solid Gold Medal valued at around £1000, awarded to the winner of premier race in the SNRPC to keep, a joke.
  16. Gareth you once more highlight your lack of of reason. I think most on here know I am banned for ten years from the shu. Quite a few seen the paperwork and could not give me a reason for the ban. But that has nothing to do with your underhand attempt to demonise someone to achieve what you perceive as the right outcome. Some of us have a mind of our own and the fact that you think that other peoples posts count for nothing once more says a great deal about the quality of your judgement. My opinion and every individual that visits the site is entitled to be posted here and the let the other posters decide. We do not need someone who thinks they are judge jury and executioner rolled into one. Poor, poor show.
  17. are the snfc now being taken over in a merger by the biggest fed in the land.
  18. seems the king is dead and somebody else is claiming all the credit for the work he put in on the transport situation.
  19. i am trying to point out that it is unlikely that either liquid or tablet / powder form medication is highly unlikely to be affected or the effect nullified by tap water. if tap water did any damage to the medication i am sure that hopspitals all over europe would not be allow tap water to be used. ib i know of many people who take a glass of tap water with any medication thay take. most people that i know are prescribed the greatest proportion of medication they are prescribed in tablet form. but you are not most people are you?
  20. is it not tap water we use to wash down any medicines we are prescribed. it must be that our doctors and chemists are thick as according to the theory being piushed here the water destroys the medication before it gets a chance to do its work. its a no brainer.

so you are saying jimmy that the better bird always flies against the greatest number of entries. if we take this to its logical conclusion the 50 mile winners on the continent are better birds than the 700 mile winners competing against fewer birds. i do not think your conclusion will get much backing in dooman land.
