  2. in my opinion,, best with clean water,,, they will drink their fill this way, anything added, at the precise time they arrive home,, then they will hesitate in drinking their full needs,, once theve eaten later , many add electrolytes, or glucose, or honey , even milk,, as a pick me up , but in my opinion for short or easy races , plain water,, [tapolene ;D],, if in races that have taken a lot out the bird, maybe try any of these" pick me ups" after their light feed
  3. hi mamun im just wondering if this was the pair of eggs you had in a picture on here, b4 :-/ :-/ :-/,, remember, one was very clean the other one dirty,,,,,i thought they were laid at different times,,,,, if it is the same eggs/yb pic ,, it seems the clean egg has hatched?? ,, im wondering if this egg in the pic was an old egg,, could that have been possible :-/ :-/ :-/

its now on the mods board ,, gangsters plight,, it will be dealt with there,,,,,,,,,,,
  16. used to have an old book,," dr barkers book on the pigeon",, lent it out, never to be seen ;D,, but great old book with plenty common sense and pigeon husbandry etc,, even in to-days way of racing, still made great sense
  17. i would agree with jimmy, but would leave well alone, if it is the first flight,, ive tried this sticking , it can be done, but never really successful,, ,, usually when a flight is pulled it grows in just a tad shorter than it should be, but by past experience, it doesnt make any difference to performance, had a bird once with broken tail feather,, the middle one ;D,, pulled this broken feather,, the bird [the 5185 cock] won many races,, so done this each year,, [then read article re. this in levi,s book on the pigeon],,,
  18. a nice interesting book called " pigeon" by barbara allen, really not on racing pigeons as such, but contains many interesting facts and theories on pigeons in general through the ages.
