yes its been unusually warmer of late, in fact temps to rise wed,, but i am only advising to be very wary ,,
a couple of bad/hard toss can ruin yearlings for the year,, i find yearlings come into their best in the month of may,,many are lost b4 this,, but as they say,, make hay while the sunshines ,,, lets just hope it continues

i have did this b4 whilst sitting,, the reason was , i was late in getting the vaccine, although i was wary of this, at the time, i found it didnt do the birds any harm,,, they were mainly" just down on eggs"
i would say the cock should be ok at 8 years old
,, i have an eleven year old hen filling her eggs,,, i have given her selenium and zinc caps , now and again, whether it is this thats helping , i cant tell,, but it hasnt done any harm
is it racing pigeons you keep mamun?? or fancy pigeons [non racers]
pulling the flights out wouldnt be good for the bird,mamun, it could upset the natural moult , as in your country they could be moulting now,even cutting their flights could damage their wings, when they try to fly ,,, far better to keep them in an aviary for a while where they can see their surroundings, they will soon learn where they belong, and should stay with you easier,, good luck
