eagle owl,, as with all owls will see or hunt better at night, their main food is rabbit, it will not tolerate any other bird of prey anywhere near its own nesting grounds [usually the same type of nesting ground as the peregrine],, i wouldnt think they would kill a wolf or labrador :-/

yes i saw that too,, but in old yellows post,, re, barrel of oil,, i thought i had mis-heard that,, but its right enough,, i did here right looks like were being done the price of feeding always seems to go up,, for any reason the fav. one is, "they had a bad harvest" but it never went down when they had a" good harvest ",, i would imagine when the petrol prices go up, so will the feeding,, ,,worse luck ,,

p,s they seem to be putting less linseed in any mixes now :-/

i used to just mix a few w/hood mixes together, i,e french maize, cinc, maize [cant spell it ;D], dog tooth maize etc,, kept it simple,, worked for me ,, any distance candidates were fed the same mix,, but a galley pot of maples in their nest box, then just a few peanuts nearer the time, i found it more important to fly am and pm,, ,, with complete rest in between

can almost sense the exitement ,, be absolutely great,, if you got that text ;D,,best of luck,,

there has been an" arguement "for many years about these eagle owls,, top ornithologists say they are native to britain,, off course the rspb disagree,, i would suppose they have their own reasons,, :-/ :-/ :-/ but eagle owls born in the wild ARE in fact native to britain,[being born here] and SHOULD have the same protection of any other birds of prey,,,but it doesnt seem so :-/ :-/ :-/ due to genuine escapees of falcons there are now hybrid falcons flying wild,, if these breed in the wild,, the youngsters will have the same protection,[ as they are born in the wild in britain] im not sure about the white tailed eagle , why introduce them? if they dissapeared by nature in 1886 :-/?

dont pool them in the first race ;D ;D ;D ;D but i wouldnt mind pooling them in the last few distance races ;D ;D ;D
