this is caused by depluming mite , the old fashioned way,,,that works,, is rubbing the lather of carbolic soap on the chest [or the bare bits,, many more modern medications now,, but whatever you use, they wont grow new feathers until they moult,, as the root of the feather is still there, bitten off by these depluming mite
