Was,nt going to take ybs from racers but decided to let them rear their 1st round , so if anyone wants ybs from my racers as long as you give me the rings as I won't have enough to ring them , Just a thought . This time of year they are desperate for food and are scared of nothing .

Had a visit from Sparra today , when it attacked I was standing in garage door and my blue cock tried to get in over my head but I caught him in mid air and the Sparra hit me on side of head and chased the other one , I shat me self , it's the second time I have personally been hit by one .

Had a few probs with eggs being crushed under the birds , not sure If there is a issue with the eggs but can't do nowt .

Done , I thought it was a buzzard too .

Must admit natural is more interesting for me , cocks fighting you others jumping of nest , hens sitting 6eggs and so on , my opinion is that's how you find out about your birds quirks and learn your trade . Hate having hens locked in boxes for widow or roundabout but on plus side watching cocks roam and clap the sky's is incredible .

Have never owned 6 air guns and never will , dum de dum de dum . Had to give up my shot gun licence when moved to Greengairs as I am 50yrds from school. Yet another move to dictatorship .

My soninlaw has an American girlfriend and her view was that all pigeons are for shooting as they polute the streets and she is almost right , the council,s should be out culling all street pigeons because that is where the public get their opinion of our birds . Most kids of today are lazy bastewards and have no interest in playing any sports so are very unlikely to clean shiet up. We must face that the sport is in decline but is not finished so keep enjoying .

Some interesting points ! Are you saying that only the birds that home on the day (500+) have had a drink and only eaten the correct amount and the rest fall ? Can't buy that , don't think we give credit where credit is due to the convoyers , and how do we know that the first birds home are,nt the one,s who gorge themselves in the basket and out last the others home ? We don't . A good bird will get home but del is correct in that fill them full of fats at right time and you have done your job then let the birds ability come through. Jmo
