For breeding it's the bloodline which in my case from east coast now flying in the west takes a few years to establish with the loss of some very nice birds ,possibly my most successful line came from Ireland which is tough.

Unfortunately it was a bereavement sale so birds have to go no matter what price , The birds were in the moult and some looked better than others , I bought a son off his 1st sect Eastbourne he looks to have potential but a bit of a mess with the moult just now but worth a gamble .

Well done to the D&J Allan partnership always been great fanciers even their dad Jim was a great doo man -
The birds in the west side of country are every bit as good as the rest but the lay of the land beats us and I do think the birds break a lot farther down the country or the odd one or two would get up there but unfortunately the wind and terrain plays a major part . It would be great to put a few trackers on our birds during these national races just to see where they go .

Best of luck to all the senders .

I have just finished basket training 12 later bred ybs in 2 baskets after 2 nights in basket I sat watching which ones took a drink a few times and then removing them i,m now left with 2 in the basket that still have not drank but they eat through the basket wire s but won't take a drink ? Can't do much more ,stupid creatures . Still think 28 birds is to many for ybs .
