I agree most exiting race on calendar. My race kind of ended at Worksop ,so will be a makeshift team that have only had one trainer since Worksop and got humped so mine are most likely not fit enough and over fed but I have been to B&Q and bought another couple of mirrors lol. Best of luck Walter and all the entrants ,think it will be quick like last year .

2/3 Maidstone only old 8 yr cock who has been hit 4 times and has many thousand miles on the clock but he will arrive , My first bird at 5.25 it was only her second race of her life sent by mistake should have been her nest mate (I know poor management) but shows if they want to get home they will.

I had phone call today from a lovely lady who asked me if I kept pigeons my reply was yes the lady said she had found one of my birds and yes it was one of mine lost at Worksop 2weeks ago only for her to say she was in holland and found the bird dead while out cycling with her husband and children and called my phone ring number at this point I thought it was a wind up but no , she said how sorry she was that my bird had flown so far but had such a tragic death,a while later she sent me a picture of the dead bird and another with the bird buried with a little cross and some flowers, And we all think the public don't care ,must admit I was touched by her thoughtfulness. Just thought I would share .

I think it does make difference what colour I had 14 reds at start of season only have 2 left but think it makes sense that if your batch is mostly reds a dark one will stand out . Look at national results how many reds or mealys not a lot but look at results 20 year ago loads were red or mealy but Del is correct if we don't do something soon we are finished , I trained 10 today single up from East Lothian and my best bird for gold cup got home but her mate didn't!
