I'm pretty sure they would support ye if ye offered tae open a stray centre in your area. The only obstacle to more stray centres is finding someone to run them. We are quite fortunate that one does suffice but down south you's would need 6 or 7 IMO three across southern England East Mid's West Mid's NW & NE. Like every other job it's a thankless task especially when they return without an ETS ring on. Owners automatically point the finger at the stray officer but Nae mention of it coulda been the guy that had it in, easier tae blame somebody ye know I think !!! Am a believer in percentages and there are IMO about the same percentage of good and not so in any team of Doos. 30-300 count the losses each fancier has and the percentage would be very very similar. So in a way you are correct in the assumption that Big team flyers will have a lot more rubbish in numbers, but not percentage wise !! to the wee guy.

I was putting Doos through at one of the SNFC races this year and there were 3 birds in the guys basket who's ETS rings were not clipped shut. He was flummoxed as to how this could be as he had been racing them all year with ETS intact. Like everything else if we don't know for a Fact what's happened tae remove their ring it's left tae our best guess. Best guess is Seldom other than some bassa swiped it.

Yer 3,000 pairs were there 10 years ago Danny, more like 7,000 pairs now. A still think they're the biggest wasters of our racing/Training (for those who do) but there are numerous other obstacles they have tae overcome tae. Uniformity of opinions is pie in the sky. Absolutely No Way would agreement be reached countrywide to limit distance, or agree tae anything got that matter, so opinions are good conversation but no answers. IMO. I only had 34 for racing Derek, night before first race I put 10 away that I didnae want tae loss for nothin. As the races passed I put another 2/3/4 away at a time due to moult condition, 7th flight is cut off point for me, so I was sending wee teams for both those reasons. Gave more away this year than I kept, including bro/Sis Son/Dgh of my Reims hen and the double G/Sin of Blach Caviar. All away Gratis. Cutting right back on distance stock and gonny enjoy them for another 3 seasons then am outa them for good.
