Guest arsenal Posted September 3, 2017 Report Posted September 3, 2017 A very good friend of mine a pigeon fancier tried to join his local club so he could fly North Road.He lives about a mile from the club head-quarters which would be a great help for him as he is a pension and has a job getting about (just had two knee operations in the last year)also had two back operations earlier.But at the club meeting his application was refused,he waited 2weeks to get it in writing from the club and no reason was given.This club has members who live 10 or more miles away in it and yet they turned my friend down it really takes some believing dose'nt.Well i thought pigeon racing was a sport but apparently there are some right nasty folk about and i hope they feel proud of themselves the one's who voted not to let him join.I Will not name the club at this time unless requested.

Many years ago a very respected and successful fancier told me, your everyones friend until you start winning. Then your nobodies pal.From my experience the real pigeon men thrive on competition and welcome new members with open arms,NAME AND SHAME :emoticon-0179-headbang:
