Pigeon Racing Into Scotland

What now is needed is a race programe for all of Scotland and all race from the same side of the country what we do now know is race on your own you're fed gets hammered, the races now need to go to 12 lib sights only, and all pigeon's at that site released at the same time, safety in numbers and each fed shares the same amount of attack. This could mean that most feds have only managed 4 races, as the distance from lofts allow at there own risk, not stopping any one go further but this needs distances worked out, from Aberdeenshire to the borders to get feds started could mean Aberdeenshire and dundee area race as far as thirsk, central belt race as far as Newbury, and border area as far as Eastbourne. As I say you can go the whole route if you like, but you must lib at same time if possible from sites in your group

What is hard in picking 4 race points in the north section down to thirsk, then Dundee pick 4 race points followed by Edinburgh picking 4 race points down to Newbury, then border picking 4 race points to Eastbourne, this then gives the north sections the choice of 12 races the central choice of 10 races the border the choice of 8 inland races the Lanarkshire the choice of 10 races and the first race over the border the whole of Scottish birds are racing every week and up together now what numpty can't take that in

What about North of Scotland having its 1st race and then its second one travel and liberate with Aberdeen fed at same race point it would centralise birds at Aberdeen where they would drop off to their lofts and our birds would fly in a direction to their own lofts without being spread a 100 mile through out our N of S FED ,IMO its the time late comers are hunting about that they become easy prey for raptors ??

Confused with your reasoning Phil, what do you believe happens just now regarding the line they take ?

Well on a strong west wind they would hug the east coast ,miss Inverurie IMO they the birds often have to go back the way right up to Peterheaad area where from that point they generally filter back through Broch Macduff and onwards into the east ,on a east wind the effects are not so strong as IMO the farer east the wind travels the wind decreases ,on a south wind short race IMO nae good ,best settling wind mild north wind to steady birds up my opinions only !! the thoughts on Aberdeen part of the post is to increase numbers coming up and a steadying up of birds when and before they hit the front of our fed

Don't disagree with much of what you say but don't see any help if Aberdeen birds and ours go together regarding what would occur when birds dropped in aberdeen

guys what needs to be done is one week after all racing is over every fed in scotland ask each member to donate one or two birds from there race team a tenner from each fed to help with fuel costs and the birds taken a 300 mile dummy run and the only pigeons in the sky all birds must be out the race team no old stock birds to hold them back so birds are homing on every route into scotland a good size trailer would do the job if no one else will do it i will take them in my large transit van we could sort out pick up points if fanciers south of the borders would like to help all the better

I would like to think that after one two races things would work out the first few races no doubt birds would go down for a look then go on their way and as opposed to fly back and forth east to west etc the birds would race from front of fed to the back as Aberdeen would be the settler and make them think now what ,then hopefully the training they have had on line of flight would kick in ,look i maybe wrong but any thing is worth a thought ,shared costs on travel another thing .
