I have often wondered what Freedom and Independence really meant ??.

Freedom.. from what ?, as we do and say basically, whatever we want within the laws of the Country and have the freedom to improve ourselves either through knowledge or work, which is rewarding mentally or financially. Their are no constraints upon either.

Independence.. So some want to be a separate country from the U.K. ?. I can go along with that reasoning however Independence is supposed to be outwith the control of any other country which rather defeats the purpose of breaking from one to be part of another by having to accept E.U. rules on trade. So that is not freedom either..

It has been mooted that we could survive on our main exports which are Whisky, Electronics and Service Industries. 80% of Scotland's Distilleries are foreign owned, 70% of Electronic Firms are foreign owned and I know nothing about Service Industries apart from Wee Jean from Leith Walk.

Naw I will stick with the U.K. as it has looked after me and my family for 70 years and gave us everything we have wished for and don't wish to be ruled by the Tartan Tories which the SNP was termed in the past.

Any socialist thinking party can have sympathies leaning to Fascism and communism but the part does not make up the whole ,if you had a party full of people with the same level of ideas and principles we would end of with a party like Liberal glad to jump on the band wagon and give up what their party was or Labour a now poor reflection of the social party they were meant to be ,and ofcourse Tory the rich mans answer to benefits for themselves off the backs of others ,believe me anyone can find propoganda to further there cause and put down a looming opposition .And yes i know the history of my party as well.Now thats me last on this near 2 year to go yet.

Naw John I bought and sold 2 Council Houses, And gave my kids most of the proceeds. I worked and paid my Taxes and National Insurance for 50 years apart from the Shilling when employed in Saudi Arabia but all my money was sent home which Wee Mary endeavoured to try her best spending making sure their was nothing left for me to spend on Doos.

I, in all honesty am a Tory and of the belief that if more were honest about themselves they might find they are at heart too. I was of the opinion many years ago that Scotland was a fabulous Country until I ventured further South than Gretna and let me tell you the grass is definitely greener the further South you go and I mean that literally.

if the snp were to get independence we would not have an army navy or air force to defend us so the snp would close down Kinloss Lossiemouth and Leuchers bases as England would not subsidise them the moray people should be having a good look at there MP and his thoughts on things before the next election he could wipe out the moray area overnight

 

they would close Faslane which will badly effect the west of Scotland

 

The uk would no longer build ships on the clyde so it would close as well affecting the central belt
