very true but that wont effect the many who don't own houses I e have mortgages ect but it has a big knock on effect to industry as the first thing that goes is the head count

As a deep Southerner I am envious of your Independence, you are described as a Country, whereas my Country, England, is, according to the Oxford English Reference Dictionary, "a part of Great Britain and the United Kingdom, largely made up of the area South of the River Tweed", England has no Capital City, (London is the Capital of the United Kingdom), it has no Parliament because it is the British Parliament and we haven't got a National Anthem because England no longer qualifies as a Nation. When Scottish Devolution took place it strengthened your Identity whereas the English Devolution which is being forced upon us will have the effect of fragmenting England into Shires. We are being airbrushed out of existence, and you think you've got it bad.

What I cannot understand is the logic of the SNP fighting to be Independent now under the banner of ceding that Independence to Europe. Is the hatred of the English that bad that Scotland would rather be ruled by the Germans & French than be a part of the United Kingdom where Scottish MPs have played major roles in the governing of the UK in the past. This Government is only in power because of no meaningful opposition, it received just 39% of the vote but with a fragmented opposition, rules the roost. Divide and conquer is their mantra and it's working.

No its us all, give a wee bit up so as your next generation has a community that will help its people giving a good work ethics,if we do nothing you will family that left the nest return to your home due to poverty, we need jobs, created work ,roads, oil, forestry, farming, and factory work for all our kids we were lucky we seen the big time, and made a bit from it,buying your own homes and getting parents inherantces a lot easier than it is for most young people now days

The guys down there have never and will never have any interest in what happens to us as long as they have control over us.

As tiger says, if they'd be better off without us then what's the problem of a referendum? Things have changed from the last one that was a narrow victory for the "no's" spouting all their sheite.

 

How can you call it a democracy when if everyone in the whole of Scotland voted yes for "anything" and half of London voted no then we are beat again, but just you keep on living the dream
