THE FIFER Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 is your pilot light on ok is boiler starting
greenlands Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 Could be the pump, hot water will automatically rise and circulate upstairs, put your hand on the pump to see if you can feel a slight vibration ??
Guest mambo Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 Could be the pump,or fuse or bit of ice in pipe drain rad, till you feel hot water shut down and refill to 1.5 bar. See if that helped
REDCHEQHEN Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 Have you looked at the boiler pressure? (1.5 bar)
THE FIFER Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 PM J ARMOUR on site he is a heating engineer
Roland Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 Have you looked at the boiler pressure? (1.5 bar)Mine was simply and quickly solved but feeding a little water in. Has bars on boiler which shows amount and it needs to be between the minimum and max.
jim Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 bleed the highest one till water comes out then tighten again
Bobby4 Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 Turned on heating this morning. Upstairs radiators are fine, downstairs all cold. Any ideas ?Sent you a pm
doomaloon Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 is the upstairs zoned differently from down stairs.if so the zone valve is done but can be opened manually to give heat
Bobby4 Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 Turned on heating this morning. Upstairs radiators are fine, downstairs all cold. Any ideas ?If its a system boiler it will most likely be pump .none of them would work if it is a combi you can usually kick start pump if it is just stuck by opening middle of pump an spinning with a small driver but may stick again.
