Big Davie Posted May 20, 2016 Report Posted May 20, 2016 There is no doubt that Lanarkshire have had some bammy races out of Newark in the past but the east Feds seem to have had a good run out of it today ?, still prefer the Wetherby option but would also have been happy with Doncaster at around 200 mls which might have suited all of the west side Feds ?

ally mac Posted May 20, 2016 Report Posted May 20, 2016 It has to get changed at the next agm so wee can have the opportunity to race on the Friday our hands are tied this year Not easy when busy with work, would mean a Friday off work for most and i'm maybe the exception but Thursday afternoon too for me. couldn't afford it I'm afraid.
hotrod Posted May 21, 2016 Report Posted May 21, 2016 Aye wullie Glasgow this and Glasgow that , but no mention of the work done behind the scene yesterday by Gordon ,after finding out there was a problem with Retford , first thing he done was contact all others that where going to Retford .then trying to get an alternative , for everyone not just Glasgow ??.
hotrod Posted May 21, 2016 Report Posted May 21, 2016 Got to agree del and I've spoken with our race controller and the problem would be south Lanarkshire and Glasgow as he tried to lib with them last week and was rubbered till the last kick then told their going their selfs total crap imo should've been up together last week but hay ho the Amal will never work too many big fish in small ponds Excuse me sir , I've been asked since otterburn if Ayrshire could lib along with us , I told your guy no as it was too short a race ,I told him there was no problem once we go over 200 miles . Going from a shorter race your bird would go in a different line , so don't blame anyone for youse having to lib on your own , we ended up along with south Lanark from otterburn as we had baskets on their transporter. , not my idea , and not too happy about going together so soon , but hey nothing could be done . OH and I've been told by an Ayrshire member about your birds circling race points for a while , his opinion is the transporter is crap and birds can't see until they open up fronts and its out of the dark into the light sort of thing . His words not mine . We were all going to lib together this week from Retford no probs at all . I've got to look after Glasgow fed birds first and foremost and what's best for us I'm not interested in Ayrshire fed youse can look after your own birds and race . And sorry again TAM

johno Posted May 21, 2016 Report Posted May 21, 2016 Glasgow transporter holds 40 crates with 28 in each Total 1120 not two thousand. Glasgow baskets are on SL motor to make the transport more economical. In these times this seems a sensible thing to do. Race controlling of the joint Liberation is in the hands of Stuart Mullen a Glasgow member. This week the problem with Retford washighlighted to Gordon Geddes by the RPRA Friday. Being a reasonable guy he let other feds intending to go to Retford know the situation. No one is asking what would have happened if Gordon Geddes would not have let other feds know the situation and they headed out for Retford on Friday night. Is it no about time that everyone dealt with their own situation and be thankful their are some people doing their best week in week out to ensure racing goes ahead as smoothly as possible. If people think they can do things better get involved and give a hand. I fail to understand how the change of a racepoint in Lanrkshire fed ends up in an all out attack on another couple of feds and one individual in name. I wonder why the pigeon game is dying away.
geordie1234 Posted May 21, 2016 Author Report Posted May 21, 2016 Lanarkshire would have been at Newark if we had the distances if imagine... anyway regardless where you are racing this weekend let's hope we ALL get good racing with good returns atvb
