That liberation was a RESIGNING decision. 19 NINEF**KINTEEN organisations waiting for a race and 1 ONE!!! went and lost the birds that were put in THEIR CARE to get a race. We DID NOT get a race and the men who decided they were Smarter than all those other controllers should step down because they're no fit to do the job.

Would you have liberated today? Or yesterday? Or when?

id have went yesterday as did most

You said earlier Friday was a better day. Make your mind up. SNRPC held yesterday. UNC struggled out of Eastbourne. And you seem to be having a go at the SNFC committee. It was the controllers decision to liberate and I`m sure they had doos on the transporter.

so what your saying john is the guy that wins the gold cup and all the section winners didnt deserve it because it wasnt a real race

Don't think hes saying that, hes stating the fact it was a crazy decision to lib when everyone could see the weather forecast was hellish. The winning pigeons would've still won, that goes without saying but other pigeons would've made it home if the controlling was better AND THAT ALSO, GOES WITHOUT SAYING. :emoticon-0179-headbang:

Flexibility is whats needed, if the birds were on site and a thursday lib was the better option then so be it.

Exactly

people are sendind theyre best pigeons to the gold cup and for birds to be looked after and one thing for sure john McCord looks after them but the controllers let us all down by liberating our pigeons with hardly a chance to get by the south coast of England yes you will get some that will come through the thunderstorms but not all of them and its not sour grapes as we timed and well done to everybody that did time the controllers should have a good look at themselfs

The birds was not on site on Wednesday nite we were 3 hrs approx from lib site

A club the size of the SNFC cant just make up rules on a whim. But reading all the expert opinions on here I look forward to a proposal at the AGM to introduce flexibility regarding races so that something is in place for next year.

The gold cup birds arrived on site at alancon this morning at 10:30

Been a good trip so far just lost an hr with road works in France yesterday

Weather is great not to warm with a light south east wind on site transporter parked in shade under trees birds are drinking well and settled we will start to feed at 4:30 and change the water

Just hope the weather is good for a race sooner rather than later

Yours in sport j McCord

A lib was possible and offered by convoyers on THURSDAY but the Officials declined! Maybe the halls weren't booked for clock checking a day early!!

Well I am shocked at your post and have to wonder where it came from ?. I suggest you go back to Page 2 Post 22 from the Convoyer who you say was willing to liberate the day he arrived at Alencon "Thursday" yet was not willing to liberate from Buckingham "Friday" when the arrival times were the same. This scenario reminds me of past performances by truckers who had to liberate on Sundays as the truck was required for contract work on the Monday. We should remember they are business men first and foremost and at all times business before pleasure.
