seen something today I have never seen in 40 yrs of keeping doos waited all day from maidstone saw 2 doos coming to our loft 4 yr old c with wellie boots cacked in mud yearling c had a pink face with the rain.....where was the rain today ?

 

handled both doos at back of 8 fresh as paint

My first doo caked in mud and I even washed mud off his wattle .

Just got another Maidstone bird at 22-15 thats 7/15 now :emoticon-0138-thinking:

Also heard a few horror stories about returns at clocks.

Don't know where the rain was it was great the whole way up road only thing was the wind was all over the place

My mate who races a really good pigeon had 0 home

Was the same from this racepoint last year big losses

Yet it's meant to be wonderful from the East ??

Birds were falling in everywhere from Buckingham

But forgot it was centre of the uk

A common sense approach is required when racing pigeons from these distances, the larger the convoy the better instead of a small convoy. The Lanarkshire pigeons should have been with the SNFC and it would have helped returns.small convoys are no use racing from these distances and never will be, people moan about basketing locations etc and hassle but its the pigeons who should come first and doing what's best for them and pigeons in the area.

THats nonsence small convoys can have the same good returns just the same as the big convoys can get a hammering ,for example ayrshire fed part of the big convoy certainly aint helped the returns although i sincerly hope the birds all turn in tommorow .

Lanarkshire drove through solwayu and we drove through Cumbria allfeds heading for bed Hampton! !!!!

just to say well done to my big m8 cal 50 on timming woody at 16.49 great pigeon home limping as been injured on route . :emoticon-0123-party:
