It's about time who ever register the rings get a hold on this, surely if someone try's to get a ring registered and it dosent belong to them, then they have to answer why they have a ring in there position that clearly isn't there's.

Dosent matter what you would try and doo, if you glue the ring on, they would cut the pair birds leg off to get £1.50

That's the lowest of the low.

Totally agree with you Brian but these type of so called fanciers are probably laughing to themselves at your expense when discovering that your bird arrived home minus its ETS ring, total scum and have no place in our sport

I had the same a couple of weeks back but when I checked the rest of the birds I noticed that some ets had dodgy clips on them and did not fasten correctly this week I even had to put a rubber over a ets just to keep it closed

its very small perentage of scum in our sport but they are out there all the fancier ive met or spoke to are great guys there is no room in our sport for these feeckers

they will always be there and not just in the pigeon game, they are the one,s that prop the league,s up but they will never do f.ck all imo

all guess work again ( why are we so quick to blame other fanciers )

these rings can and do break if your bird hits something

they become brittle and snap

ive had a bird return from a toss with its ring missing

and it returned with the kit

also seen a broken ets ring in a basket

and I couldn't count the amount of times ive seen at ets ring

get clipped back together when race marking

if the rubbers been removed aswell then I would agree with you

but if not then your birds prob lost the ring its self

your right brian this happens a lot by what we hear

just pointing out that they can come off without interference from a so called fancier

they have a double click which u should always use for safety

Any ETS ring I have put on has a double click and it takes some pressure to close it fully, but I have noticed some on the first click only. How they work loose I don't know, but roll on the day when the chip is contained in the life ring. If the Unions have their way and all ETS manufacturers have to produce rings that can be read by any system then we will be on our way. :)

That's correct but the rings in question clicked twiced but never fastened shut they just kept opening and unless u double checked u would of thought it was closed right

I only refer to Unikon rings, but if you try to register an ETS ring that is already issued to another fancier, the loft No of the true owner will show and you have to tell it to overwrite. No secy should issue such rings without a letter or something to say that the ring has been passed to that fancier. I think this is a rule with the RPRA. Then again it could just be badness from someone that does not use ETS
