peter2010 Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Can I ask you serious ? Bigda by going with your programme you have made up why would this be any better than what we are racing just now ? IMO the route we are on just now and with the prevailing west winds the birds probably taking an easterly route home so are we maybe needing to actually needing to go more west ???
Guest bigda Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) Can I ask you serious ? Bigda by going with your programme you have made up why would this be any better than what we are racing just now ? IMO the route we are on just now and with the prevailing west winds the birds probably taking an easterly route home so are we maybe needing to actually needing to go more west ??? the reason the change needs to be made peter, is to allow the Lanarshire men to have a federation of there own not one governed by what the national are doing, also A YEARLING OPEN AT 190 MILE AINT A BAD ASK. AND AS FAR AS PREDOMINANT WEST WIND THAT I DON'T BELIEVE, AS I HAVEN'T SEEN THAT IN 5 YEARS THIS RACE PROGRAM IS TO STOP ALL THE CONFUSION, WITH ARE WE GOING WITH THE NATIONAL AND TO ALSO STOP THE MINORITY MEMBERS THINKING THAT WE ACCOMMODATE THE NATIONAL. WE HAVE OUR OWN COSTS AND LEVIES , AND AS IT WAS NO PROBLEM PAYING FERRY CHARGES TO ANOTHER COURIER BEFORE WE NOW HAVE OUR OWN WHERE CHARGES REMAIN IN THE FEDERATION. WE HAVE GAINED MORE MEMBER SO COST SHOULD BE LESS. IF WE ARE TO HAVE OUR BIRDS EATEN ALIVE MY SUGGESTION IS WE GO WHERE MOST BIRDS FLY, THAT WAY WE SHARE THE BREAKFAST WITH ALL THE DOO MEN AND THAT IS DOWN THE EAST . 60 NAT MEN WITH 12 BIRDS AVE ABOUT 750 DOOS AINT GOING TO GET TO THINKING THAT THE TAIL IS GOING TO WAG THE DOG. THE FEDERATION THAT HAS AN AVERAGE 8,400 BIRDS, AND WE INTEND TO HAVE BIRDS LEFT FOR RACING OR LOOKING AT. Edited June 8, 2014 by bigda

Guest stb- Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 aycliffe is not a good place to liberate doos especially when its full of lorrieswhats wrong wit aycliffe we race it 2 or 3 times a year and i find it a good race point
Guest bigda Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 and here is me thinking that bigda was talking about ( RACING PIGEONS ) LOL ok sterling moss
walterboswell59 Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 why do you put this up ? as never go 2 meetingsdan sprint or distance the falcons at kelso dont give a s t they eat them all thats why we changed to otterburn in the first place
tommy bhoys Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 danny think we should pick race points that the fed have had good races from before no matter if its centre or east of country
Guest bigda Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 dan sprint or distance the falcons at kelso dont give a s t they eat them all thats why we changed to otterburn in the first place don t think that was the case at all walter, but it would not do any harm setting next years yearlings of at kelso, and bye the way, otterburn was done so as to chase after the one eyed jacks, and what every Lanarkshire, guy should know, racing into the west we have a 90 mile due west fly in all the time before we begin, in all the races bar kelso where as, if you are on the east all you have to do is up the mileage with no restrictions, direct line of flight, yet the 90 mile stretch that we have to make the birds come should be well schooled , as you nat men know or should know, as it takes your birds then 3 hours on a nat day to come from it. most times
budgie Posted June 12, 2014 Report Posted June 12, 2014 For the 2014 young bird racing its worth considering with the exception of Kelso / substitute with Otterburn.Only 1200 birds at UpperHeyford wait till we come to Bedhampton next week around 370 mls we will be lucky to get 600 pigeons.

geordie1234 Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 I will as I always do go with the majority to whatever ever programme that the fed decide but in my honest opinion I want my youngsters down the east... For one reason only. ... the way the racing has been this season its inevitable we will be racing east next season anyway..
