philg50 Posted January 10, 2014 Author Report Posted January 10, 2014 This will be my first year racing the birds properly thats with a bit o luck with my health being the way it is but i heard of 2 lads that lost 90 young birds between them ,that doesnt lift my confidence to much but we will see, will 30-40 be enough!
andy Burgess Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 50 rings ordered , don't intend to have more than 20 youngsters though
Bryngwynt Lofts Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Got 50 rings, but plan is 30.Quality over quantity!
walterboswell59 Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 This will be my first year racing the birds properly thats with a bit o luck with my health being the way it is but i heard of 2 lads that lost 90 young birds between them ,that doesnt lift my confidence to much but we will see, will 30-40 be enough! thats one of the reasons i carry a big team of stock birds if you get wiped out with your youngbird team which is happening more and more in training or racing you can repair the stock birds and breed another young bird team and just train them the rest of the year other wise it sets you back 2 or 3 years with no young birds yearlings or two year olds coming through its happend to me a few times in races no more but
