philg50 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Who thinks that pigeon fowk who offer birds for sale on sites should have to provide DNA certificates along with birds for sale to weed out the rubbish .I think they have to free a hand ,if they are just a doo they are not worth more than say £30 ,If they say they are of special stuff they should have to prove it ,price of doos are getting out of hand IMO !!
andy Burgess Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 don't think it would work , besides if they were offered cheaper without D.N.A. testing folk would believe theyre getting a bargain . as for prices getting out of hand ,its those who are prepared to pay high prices that are to blame I feel.

paddymac Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 I'm sure some of the big studs that are prepared to pay a lot of money could benefit from it but I don't think it will really matter to us ordinary folks who wouldn't have the cash that these people are paying for such birds.

Guest homestead Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 the cost of the pigeon would have to include the price of the test so a £35 pigeon could cost £125 ?? some birds can win and cant reproduce... i cant see it happening
